space goat? he was slightly better than the brazilian megaflop, but that's not an accomplishment. you guys are quick to praise 53 goals, but cant handle when we criticize him? he is being a negative force atm for us, that's the issue.

I can wholeheartedly say that Alonso, Casillas, Benzema, Di Maria, Ozil, and Marcelo are more important to Real Madrid than Ronaldo.

Well that's fair dipitman........but my biggest issue with him is his disruption of our offensive flow.

i thought i was the only one who didnt see him as the second best player in the world.

i tend to agree that he does turn selfish at the times, and that severely affects the team play.. but those games are in the minority.. you have to cut him some slack.. he plays well in 20 games, thats expected from him, he cant be expected to play well in every game.. i think we have become quite used to these numbers ,53 goals in a season , 33 before that...
i am not against criticizing him if he plays badly, but that has to be based on a lot of matches spaced together because continuity in bad performances will suggest if he is hampering our team play, not give him flak for having one bad match after 5 or 6 good ones..

makes me wonder what could have been if they kept the likes of robben and wesley ??

sneijder yes, but then ozil isnt doing too badly.. and sneijder had a very mediocre second season tbf to him he was played lm by ramos

robben also didnt show up in the big matches in 09 season, it was higuain and gago that got us to second place..

the main prob i have with ron is that he brushes off his teammates blatantly for chances just to kicks the ball away and he does it game after game, the fact he wont get benched makes it worse, cause he feels untouchable so he continues for the lol's

personally i blame fergie, he molded ron into the complete goal scorer instead of a complete player

Now what I don't agree with is that it seems as if you've forgotten all the times that he's put that selfishness to good use, put the team on his back, and carried us to victory

To you, 53 goals sound deceiving, but I'm sure that if I were to look at all of them, there would be some very decisive goals in there

imo it look like ron is having prob cause some teammates are starting to step up and seeing out games without relying on him like before

lets be honest for a minute if ron doesn't score then what else does he bring to the team overall? doesn't track back much at all, passing is average, dribbling aint what it used to be, vision average, intelligence average(being kind), temperament poor

ron needs to go back to the basics and remodel his game a bit, cause players are figuring him out more and more now, sorry but it doesn't matter how many goals he scores if he buckles when it matters

He knows the only thing that allows his name to even be put next to Messi's is the number of goals he scores (not even the quality), so he tries to score as much as possible like a selfish prick..

I agree with this, their role is more important for RealMadrid, u can see this when ozil & benzema played in the 2nd half...

Higuain 16goals +4assits in 21matches [ 1331 min]
Cristiano Ronaldo 18goals + 8assists in 26matches [2270minutes]

Above stats doesn't include penalties [ C.Ronaldo scored 8 this season].

Benzemas goal per minute is higher than Ronaldos

OT: I personally think Ronaldo should be benched and come on as a sub to show why he should be starting. I know it's unlikely, but that's the only solution I can think of.

Difference is that barca in general have been poor away. It's not just messi, whereas ronaldo's overall game has been piss poor at times when rm have been playing well. His goals simply cover up the performances.
