Kobe and Pierce on the same team....im kinda suspect as to how that will work out.
Both love that midpost area and love to Iso, will the ball ever move?

Re: the official Dwayne Wade >>> you thread
Danny Ainge
“I sat with Red (Auerbach) during a Christmas party (in the 1990s),” Ainge told the Boston Globe. “Red was talking to Larry, Kevin, and myself and there was a lot of trade discussion at the time and Red actually shared some of the trade discussions. And I told Red what are you doing? Why are you waiting?
“He had a chance to trade Larry (to Indiana) for Chuck Person and Herb Williams and (Steve) Stipanovich and he had a chance to trade Kevin (to Dallas) for Detlef Schrempf and Sam Perkins. I was like are you kidding? I mean I feel that way now. If I were presented with those kind of deals for our aging veterans, it’s a done deal to continue the success.”
That's harsh.....I don't what kind of relationship they have but come on, at least give them some respect through silence.

Pierce is knockdown from the corner tho....and Artest get's a open shot from there at least 6 times a game.
We can can give pPierce a pick and let Kobe come weak side.I's love to see someone try to guard kobe coming from the weakside for once lol....

I really really doubt it would happen, but I guess stranger things have gone down. But he would have to accept a reduced role, he can play without dominating the ball but it would be an adjustment. Doubtful though as Ainge would be killed and they can't really offer much more Picks and the TPE.

Yeah, I was going to post that. It's cold, but I think I agree(on his mindset). I don't want another early/mid 90's period for the Celtics.

But Pierce isnt going to want to just stand in the corner and shot 3's.
He wants the ball in his hands and wants to iso in the mid post.
Sure, PP can iso and you can have Kobe moving off the ball, and visa versa...but wouldnt it make more sense to have someone who naturally runs off the ball (like Allen) and have one guy (Kobe) iso'ed in the mid post.

I dont see how PP can do that, I really dont. This guy probably still believes he is better than Kobe.

Maybe it's how he's feeling but that's what he's mostly been doing the last 2 nights tbh. Last night it was mostly in Rondo's hands and well Pierce only shot 3 of 10. But the game before that, he had 20 points and quite a few were from spot up 3's. But for the most part I think I agree.
The Franchise wrote:I dont see how PP can do that, I really dont. This guy probably still believes he is better than Kobe.
Very true. He used to(maybe still does) think he's as good a shooter as Allen. I remember I think after the 3 point contest he won, he goes I feel I'm one of the best shooters of all-time. Even I was like.. wow, overreact much.
But for the record, I want Pierce to retire here. Keep him and let's trade KG and Ray. Ray's my favorite player on the team but he's also the one that can bring the most back value wise.

@Dani i agree but apparently Mitch isn't after Allen so I let it go.
I really don't much have a burning desire for either.....I want a PG and a athletic swingman who can knock down open shots.I think ray Allen can still fit that bill to an extent so I want him.

IDK, I don't think the Lakers/Celtics match up as trade partners very well. They don't need KG, Ray maybe, Pierce would be helpful at the 3 but I'm sure Ainge would want a lot.

He is out of shape right now though, working his way back. He hasnt had a training camp, hasnt played consistently in a long time. I wouldnt really expect him to try and be PP of old right now.
Agree about the rest and I remember that 3 point nonesense.

Re: the official Dwayne Wade >>> you thread
If the Lakers trade Bynum and Pau for Howard, they are retarded lol
If they get Jameer in return, then maybe it isnt horrible but that gaping hole at powerforward would be even bigger than what they have now at point gaurd.

Re: the official Dwayne Wade >>> you thread
I'd throw in Murphy and someone else and try to get Ryan Anderson, which I think is possible considering they Have Big Baby.
Hedo can come off the bench.
It irks me that Artest will always cost us about 9 points with his atrocious 3 point shooting but he's clutch so I was always planning on keeping him.
If Hedo wasn't the worst defender in the leauge he'd be a legit all star IMO.Very similar player to Lamar....will fit right in.

Morris sucks balls .... We are not winning anything with this guard rotation ....
What are we going to give the C's ...? Gasol ? Or would the Celtics like a filler , the dalas pick and the TPE ? But that means that our chances at getting Dwight are dead .This is either bull*** ... or they are putting the Lakers like always to make other teams start bidding ...

Well the Lakers definitely wouldn't give up Pau for PP. They probably offered the TPE and picks.

I edited my message and wrote about the picks and the tpe .... but as I said that means our chances at getting Dwight or at least a PG are dead .
We are shooting 27% from the field ... god this offense is brutal to watch , thx Mike Brown :lol!:

LAL needs a PG, badly. If they pursue anything it should be that first IMO. They should make some type of offer for DJ Augustin.

It's either Augustin or MoWilliams ... I heard he's unhappy with the bench role , but I doubt the clippers would help us ....

Re: the official Dwayne Wade >>> you thread
Kevin Love or Blake Griffin? Charles B says Love, Shaq and Kenny says Blake.
I think im going to go with Shaq and the Jet here, as much as I love Love (pun intended).
I prefer Blake because he is better at creating his own shot 1 v 1 and while Love is a better rebounder and passer, the gap isnt as big as Blakes ability to create his own shot compared to Love.

Did you hear Shaq say Andrew Bynum is the best Big Man in the NBA!
I was like
I think Blake has insane uspide but at the Moment I'd take Kevin Love.

I understood where Shaq was coming from with that, not that I agree.
But no doubt, Bynum has the wider variety of moves. Howard is still better but still, I got his point.
