Kompany IS the best defender in the EPL atm, but this shows Kos isn't that far behind

England coach Fabio Capello is planning to fast-track Arsenal whizkid Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Daily Mail says Arsene Wenger's decision to give Oxlade-Chamberlain his full Barclays Premier League debut in the 2-1 loss to Manchester United on Sunday was backed by England boss Fabio Capello who has sent a message of encouragement to the winger after watching his display.

The Italian was so dazzled he passed on his congratulations and challenged the 18-year-old to keep his place in the side.

Capello will track him leading up to next month’s friendly against Holland.

So we have a potential RVP vs. AOC on the international front. If AOC shows his beast form vs. Holland,I am sure RVP will not be pissed about AOC's substitution Very Happy

Mikel Arteta insists Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger deserves the respect of the club's fans.

Wenger was jeered loudly after his decision to replace the excellent Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with Andrey Arshavin against Manchester United on Sunday — then losing 2-1.

Midfielder Arteta, hoping to return from a calf injury against Aston Villa in the FA Cup this weekend, said: "All the players are supportive of Wenger — there are no divisions.

"When we've had bad results the fans get upset with the manager but that's normal in football.

"Wenger has done so much for the club that he deserves the confidence of the fans."

Arsene Wenger told his Arsenal team "to believe in yourselves" in a special meeting at the club's training ground.

The Emirates boss arranged the get-together in a bid to boost morale after three successive League defeats.

Wenger told his players they must not be worried by criticism from fans or TV pundits.

The crowd was furious at Wenger's decision to replace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with Andrey Arshavin in the 2-1 home defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.

Wenger told his players he had faith in his entire squad and they were capable of going on a decent run, starting with Sunday's home FA Cup fourth-round clash against Aston Villa.

All this stuff is so UN-Arsene like!Hope we can turn the tide or atleast sign a couple of players.

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure admits he "always wanted" to play for Arsenal.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger decided against signing the former Beveren midfielder during trials several years ago.

"England was for me is the land of rhythm, speed and a wonderful game, truly a land for me. I always wanted to play for Arsenal, it's shame that I have never been able to play for that club," Toure told L'Equipe.

Yennaris on arsenal player

Yennaris: "To be honest, the boss didn't speak to me at half-time of the Man United game. Pat just came out and said I'm going on."

Yennaris: "I'm quite quick, can get up and down well, so I am quite suited (to the right-back role."

Yennaris: "I remember going to 4 Fa cup finals with my dad. The Liverpool one we lost when Owen scored twice I was at."

Yennaris: "I was there when Ljungberg + Parlour scored them screamers against Chelsea in Cardiff."

Yennaris: "Thierry spoke to me before the Leeds game and congratulated me after. I always listen to him. He's a legend."

He should be given more playing time, by the time Sagna retires he should be ready to take his place. cheers

He has Carl Jenkinson for competition - don't forget! That lad did pretty well for himself before he got injured.
