Will RVP leave Arsenal?
Factors that will make him stay at the Arsenal:
- He is a leader of the team
- Fan favorite
- Loves the club
- Guaranteed first team for many years
- Highest earner in salary
- etc
Factors that will probably make him move on elsewhere:
- Sheiks offering him 200k a week at Chity.
- Lack of ambitions by Arsenal board
- Squad depth
- If Arsenal finish outside of top four
- etc
I do think we have a little Nasri situation at RVP situation, he wants to win trophies with Arsenal first but as we all know, Wenger is refusing to spend on new quality players. Maybe he values personal contributions to Arsenal more than some trophies elsewhere as a benchwarmer, I dont know. Wish he will sign a contract.
I personaly want Wenger sacked if we lose RVP.

i dont know whether he will leave or not but i do know that this guy deserves to win all the big club titles out there and it would be a shame if he retired trophyless.

I think he will leave if end Arsenal end trophyless.
I just hope we don't hear from most Arsenal fans that it was because of money, because that excuse is starting to get lame.

Re: Will RVP leave Arsenal?
the only way he leaves is if we offer him an offensively low contract. he's staying. he wouldnt be doing the things he is as a captain (lots of off the pitch stuff for those of you unfamiliar) he is now just to leave.
and i have absolutely no clue why City wants him other than to troll us. they still have to get rid of Tevez and Adebayor ffs

Re: Will RVP leave Arsenal?
Yea..........I mean........Wenger needs to trow the 'I will not pay you a certain amount" philosophy out of the window on this one.
It was a miracle to hang on to him after Cesc and Nasri left.
Also ffs..............get some quality players and stop buying guys like Chamakh and park chu young.
If they don't qualify for Cl football , i would think he would consider his options......

Re: Will RVP leave Arsenal?
I can see him leaving if Wenger doesn't strengthen the squad.
But from what I'm getting, Wenger is looking to do just that. We have plenty of guys who are also leaving soon and will need superior replacements.

If you would want the greatest manager in our history and the man behind the clubs resurgence sacked just because our best player would leave then I don't know what to say.

Because you sold 2 out of your 3 best players(arguably) after a mediocre season.....and bought arguably worse replacements.(Gervinhio might be as good but definitely not better)
That's not progress.
Arsenal could win the Premeir Leauge every year if they did things just a bit differently.......that's how good Wenger is...........but he's small minded.

The thing is, the new recruits aren't exactly...replacements or so to speak.

I don't want him to leave, but I do have a feeling he will. It is a shame really, just hope it isn't City who snatches him because that would be pretty bad.

No way he will leave Arsenal, he is too loyal to Arsenal. If he does leave I am sure it wont be an English club.

Re: Will RVP leave Arsenal?
No, he won't leave. He's been an Arsenal fan since he was a kid and loves the club. I really don't think he wants to leave.
The only chance in hell he will leave is if:
-we don't qualify for CL next season
-he doesn't get a raise in pay
-wenger doesn't buy more quality in january
He won't go to City, because he's not a piece of sh1t and wouldn't go to one of our rivals.
Also, why do so many people think that every quality player in the world wants to play for Barca or Madrid? I really don't think that's true even though they're both great clubs.

Re: Will RVP leave Arsenal?
If he leaves, which I don't think will happen, then Arsenal will be in a dire position, primarily because there's no one in the market who offers the quality van Persie does. He's currently the best out and out striker in the world, and has been, IMO, since the start of the year. Without his goals, obviously Arsenal wouldn't be in the position they're in. The likes of Walcott and Gervinho haven't done enough in terms of scoring.

If our best player gets 200k per week, other players want a rise too, and we don't have money like Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester City - try being more racional.

RVP isnt a money whore. He will sign a 120k p/w deal without any fuss. What he wants is guarante that arsenal will finish in top 4
