Is Nerman overrated? He is a 20 year old Brazilian kid who has not done anything big to warrant a rating at all, i cannot say he is over or under rated in this present state.

Maybe we can rate the current GOATs, you know, those guys like Messiah and Ronaldo who have Balon D'ors, Champions League titles and are currently breaking all records on the highest level like its no thing.

Nerman can bide his time and maybe in the near future perform in the highest level, then and only then should we place him in a "top" or "flop" list.

In his first two games against Barca Ronaldo was fantastic , in the first especially he and Van Der Vaart really went at Barca's defense.....but he did miss a couple chances...as usual but he didn't flop.

The biggest flop was the classico in the league last year which was just a travesty.

Neymar pulverized some bolivian team last night, frankly, i dont know when he will realize that SA is too small for him. He needs Europe, staying in brazil is just a waste of time for him at this point. He will get no world wide recognition for what he is doing there.

Possibly he thinks it's an injury risk and doesn't want to jeopardize his spot for Brazil.

granted, when pelé goes and says that neymar's up there with messi, c. ronaldo, etc, he's overrating him.. neymar is no where near the top yet.

but other than that, his quality is undeniable.. does he get more attention for being brazilian? probably. but is that really a surprise, when u look at our history of great players? when a new player shows up, of course people will talk about him more than they will talk about a new great player coming from poland or something, as there's probably more chance that he'll go on to be world champion with club and country. that's how it is, so let us all get over it and admit that neymar is good, whether you likes his style or not.

i for one don't like c. ronaldo's style, but i can't deny that it works and he's good.

Considering my footballing upbringing, I really don't mind the show boating. In fact, I usually endorse it but yeah, he'll get a tackle to remember if he pulled that sort of shit against Europe's more not so tolerable defenders/players...

oh, and about neymar going to europe: blablablah, when he goes there'll be a period of transition until he' s finally comfortable, and it will also depend on the coach and his teammates. but i have no doubt that he is good enough.. is SA a waste for him? was it for pelé, zico, etc? brazilian football is getting stronger, and that defeat to barcelona doesn't really mean that all is crap. barcelona have done that to several big european clubs.

and about our 8-0 win last night... whats up with the "the defending was awful" blablabla? i hope its not to belittle our achievement by saying that SA defending sucks?

i mean, didnt barcelona beat bayern levekursen 7-0 at the champions league? didnt bayern munich also have a similar result? isn't that normal when two very different teams (one great, one not so great) meet?... its happening from time to time at the EPL, la liga, etc... so does that mean that they suck too, or that the better teams are WAAAAAY better?
