Any reason Baker and Boga should not be on the squad this season?

I am having hard time believing Salah is better then Bogba tbh. I hope it is just Ramadan that Salah is playing so badly.

Boga is still just 17. I'd say it's unlikely.

Baker I can definitely see, though.

Unless Ramadan was going on from January to May as well, I think it's safe to say that's not the reason for his shittiness.

Wigan are interested in Chelsea’s George Saville, 21, while Josh McEachran, 21, may be loaned to the Spanish second division.

Sunderland have asked for Patrick van Aanholt on loan from Chelsea.

A loan for van Aanholt would be pointless. Just be delaying the inevitable.

Mourinho confirms some of the lads will be off on loan this season:
-

"The ones who are a bit older, 20 or 21, we feel they need to compete against men in a different league, people like Bamford, Swift, Chalobah. They are ready to go to other clubs and have a good loan."

Further expanding on this quote:
We are going to have (Andreas) Christensen and (Nathan) Ake, who are 19-years-old and coming from the Academy. We are going to have training with us, but also playing for the Under-21 team, (Dominic) Solanke, (Jeremie) Boga and (Izzy) Brown. The other ones who are a bit older, 20 or 21, we feel they need to compete against men in a different league, people like Bamford, Swift, Chalobah. They are ready to go to other clubs and have a good loan.

What we are trying to do, and we believe we are going to be successful, is in a few years’ time, when they are between 20 and 23, we will have them back at the right moment and in the first-team squad.

So Ake and Christenson will be in the first team. I doubt we'll make a CB signing then.

In a choice between youth players being in the first team squad by force, or not be in in at all, I'l happily take the former 6 ways to Sunday Wink

Ake will play Carling Cup games and some FA Cup games, I presume. Surprised he picked Christensen, though. Must have really impressed.

If these 3 Chelsea kids DON'T play for England you can blame me, says Jose Mourinho:
Chelsea manager José Mourinho is out to change the club's reputation as a 'graveyard' for young talent by making first-teamers out of Isaiah Brown, Dominic Solanke and Lewis Baker
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/3-chelsea-kids-dont-play-3927033

"My conscience is simple."

"If, in a few years, Baker, Brown and Solanke are not national team players, I should blame myself."

"They are part of a process the club started without me, during that period before I came back."

"But now I have players who will be Chelsea players. And when they become Chelsea players, they will become England players, almost for sure."

"I’m not saying we’re doing it just for English football, because it is also about us."

"Chelsea is seen as a ‘graveyard’ for young talent. But at the moment, officially in the first-team squad, we have Andreas Christensen, Nathan Ake, probably Baker, because I want to have one more English player."

"So we are going to have in the first-team squad three players coming from the academy."

"Of course, Baker, Brown, Solanke and Boga cannot all be in my squad because I cannot have 30. But these four are going to work with us all season."
"At 17, I don’t think it’s good for them to go to play in the Championship or somewhere. No, at 17 they have to train with us and learn with us – and they will learn a lot – and play in the Under-21s, maybe for us in the Capital One Cup, the FA Cup... now and again."

"You must remember they are 17, they are not 20. When they are playing in the Under-21s, they are playing against 20-year-old guys. But if they are with us every day, for them I think it is fantastic."

"So we have them coming through, and also Christensen, Ake, Kurt Zouma."

"You are talking about seven or eight guys and, in two or three years, Chelsea has a strong team with seven or eight of these guys - either English or from the academy. Homegrown players in the team. It will be a complete turnaround."

Middlesbrough line up move for Chelsea midfielder George Saville:
Sky Sports understands Middlesbrough are lining up a move for Chelsea midfielder George Saville, with the Blues thought to be open to offers for Saville alerting a number of Championship clubs as to his availability
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9399159/transfer-news-middlesbrough-chasing-chelsea-midfielder-george-saville

Brentford are thought to be keen on bringing Saville back to Griffin Park, while former Bees boss Uwe Rosler has seen a couple of bids to bring the midfielder to Wigan rejected.

Wolves are also keen on Saville, but Middlesbrough are thought to be leading the chase for the all-action midfielder due to the good links they have with Chelsea, having taken several of their younger players on loan in the last year.

Saville is understood to have held talks with Middlesbrough earlier this week as he weighs up his options with Aitor Karanka hoping to win the race for his signature.

Agreed. He's never gonna make it.

Not through any lack of his own, just that there are better players coming through already younger than he is.
