Buffon doubts Tevez worth

Gianluigi Buffon believes Juventus would not benefit from Carlos Tevez and has questioned Milan’s necessity to sign him either.

The wantaway Manchester City forward had been linked in recent weeks with both the Turin and Milan sides. The Rossoneri have put in an offer to take the Argentine in January and are now waiting on his club’s decision amid reported competition from Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite the player’s goal-scoring record in recent seasons and the reportedly low price the player is available at - almost half his summer valuation - Buffon believes he is not a player that would add value to the Bianconeri.

“In the event that he is at Juve, I have no idea if he will improve us. In attack we are covered, in numbers and quality, and I do not know if someone like Tevez has other problems.

“To get great results, everyone needs to pull in the same direction and you have to set aside the ego and the self. Speak in the plural.”

The Italian goalkeeper, who recently equalled Dino Zoff’s caps record between the Azzurri sticks, also went on to question whether Milan need Tevez either.

“In attack Milan are so strong, they have no big problems - with [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, Robinho, [Alexandre] Pato and then the returning [Antonio] Cassano and [Filippo] Inzaghi.

“In short, they are well covered. It is clear, though, that the assessment is their business.”

Oh yea? well I doubt Buffon's...Um, ok whatever.

Pick your words mate.Nobody here want Buffon to be insulted Anyway buffon is right.Maybe tevez has mad skills but he would destroy charisma in our club

Whether these numbers can be trusted or not, websites estimate Tevez salary to be around 7 million pounds. Even after taxes, I just don't see Juve matching that number. I think this transfer is all fantasy that is being cooked up by the media. Correct me if i'm wrong, but wouldn't this salary put Tevez way beyond almost everyone on the current squad? He isn't worth it and he's not going to move for a pay cut.

Its very rare for any person to come out and openly say that a talented player like Tevez might not fit in the club. And for that person to be BUFFON who is a current Juve legend and captain ...

Tevez is talented as hell but he doesnt have the Juve spirit or attitude. Our captain thinks so too. That to me, says something.

Or, perhaps, Buffon knows what the rest of us realize is that we should be spending big money on a LB rather than another overpaid striker that has averaged a new team every two seasons.
