Noone fault though..you dont enter the competition only to play fodder youths, the guys want to win this and rightly so.

With Villa and Affelay down, they might consider signing someone but I still think we can manage to do without.

On Thursday Guardiola associated Villa's injury with the "huge effort he has been making to play for a number of months with a stress fracture in the tibia".

villa has been playing through a stress fracture since at least november apparently... so WHY was he playing? granted im no doctor, but in all my years as a runner (where stress fractures of the tibia are very common) i have never heard of playing through a stress fracture because your leg can snap in half! imo a very, very, questionable call by the barca medical staff.

credit to villa for trying to play through it though... stress fractures hurt like hell. hope his recovery process goes well.

Regarding Villa (((((( Very sad. Full marks to him since hes smiling and didnt complaint or hide like spme players with a bad injury, he stayed pretty cool. And warms my hear to read all the ppl here supporting him, and goes to show how popular he is!!! Very positive personality and completely clears the stupid unhappy rumours. Its bad luck for him, but considering the development of the team atm its not the worst. Luckily we have got Sanchez, Cuenca coming on and Cesc. Villa hasnt been at his best and it might not be too bad a time for him out if u know what i mean. Iniesta is flying so that helps too. Obviously hope Villa will recover and get back to his best, although these days, players tend to get old and dip quite quickly, I certainly hope he doesnt!, Go Villa!

Yeah he looks unusually happy after getting the rest of his season effed over by the clubs physios (they let him play with a stress fracture)
