Capello backs trio for Scudetto
England boss Fabio Capello thinks the Scudetto will either be won by Milan, Juventus or Napoli this season.
Juve currently lead the standings, Milan are a point away in second, while the Azzurri are nine points behind the Old Lady ahead of tonight’s meeting between the two.
“The championship is a long one, but these three sides will battle for the title until the very end,” Capello noted.
“Milan have the best squad, but they also have the most games to play this season. They are strong though and are used to staying at the top.
“Napoli have to get used to fighting the tiredness that affects you when you also take part in the Champions League.
“Juventus, meanwhile, are not involved in Europe and that helps them to be one of the favourites for the championship.”
Juve, Capello’s former club, have been revitalised this season following the arrival of boss Antonio Conte and playmaker Andrea Pirlo.
“Conte is one of the most rampant young Coaches around,” continued the England tactician.
“Pirlo? Milan decided to let him go and I can only compliment the side that managed to get his signature.”
