He plays football to get paid. that's his job. He may do unethical things here and there, but so do 90% of people in the working industry, doctors, lawyers, etc.

They do unethical things which go parallel to their career.

Doctors who won't visit patients until fully paid...or give unnecessary subscriptions only because they have a deal with the pharmacist so they split the profit, and many other examples.

27 is not old MT and there comes a time where a club's reputation and image trumps the player (it should be the case like all the time but such are things anyway).

It's not old, however he'll want to be playing at a CL club in his prime.
