Bayern Munich announces profit for 19th successive seasons.
Bayern Munich financial director Karl Hopfner has revealed that the club operated at a profit during the 2010-11 season.
The news means that the Bundesliga giants have posted a positive net income for the 19th consecutive season, despite enduring a disappointing 2010-11 campaign.
In the year from July 1, 2010, to June 30, 2011, they registered a turnover of €328.5 million, an operating profit of €62.3m and a profit after tax of €1.3m.
"I am justified in describing the financial side of our club as exemplary," CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told the club's website.
"We are in excellent commercial shape for the future."
Bayern are five points clear at the top of Bundesliga, while they are also leading Group A in the Champions League.

Manchester City will escape with a fine if, as expected, they become one of the first clubs in Europe to break UEFA's Financial Fair Play guidelines.
City have released their most shocking set of annual accounts yet as another year of mammoth transfer spending led to the Barclays Premier League leaders running up record losses of £194.9million for the 2010-11 financial year.

AND we bailed out TSV, AND we are still wholly paying for the stadium... fear our financial might when we have finished paying it off.

Thanks, it's not just about Bayern is about all football club learning how to run their club without going into loss and still challenge for major honours, that is the reason why it is here on general section
I wonder how rich Bayern will become when we finish paying for the stadium in few years time, maybe we could afford to spend £35-60 per season on players, but I trust the board, they will rather spend the money wisely on scouting for good players for the youth academy.
Bayern is one of the best run club financially, maybe this is because it is run by those who loves the club suck as Kaiser and Hoeness and they also know one or two things about football, Bayern have absolutely no loan or whatsoever.
