Which should be our starting pair?
Which pair should be our starters?
With Burdisso's season coming to a very early end, we now find ourselves missing our most consistent defender so far this season. Given his absence, which pair of defenders should be our starters, at least until January?

Juan-Kjaer for me.
I still have hope that Kjaer can get back to his Palermo form with us and if Juan can shake off his injury woes then these two can be very solid. Kjaer is a ball-playing CB so he can compliment Juan's no nonsense approach perfectly.
Fitness and form are key for this duo.

I'd like to say Juan - Kjaer but lets be honest here Juan can't go 2 games without picking up a bloody injury so I have to go with Kjaer - Heinze..

Juan and Kjaer would be my first pick any injury should see Cassetti line up at the back. I think Cassetti is more suited to the cb role than rb.
Heinze is slow, rash tackler, not good in the air he is bench for me.

Re: Which pair should be our starters?
Juan is still hurt (he's out against Lecce), which proves my point that he's unreliable at this point. We need a consistent pair, so we have to go with Heinze-Kjaer. Heinze has the experience and is pretty good on the ball. Everyone has said that he's really been helping out the young guys, so putting him with Kjaer should help the latter improve his game as well. Sure, it's not the strongest partnership in the league, but it's the best we could put out there at the moment and until the next transfer window.
