I'd like to have Spain in Germany's group to avoid them until later stages France deserves a decent spanking as well, some of their players need to be exposed I can't decide whether they're quality or not

I meant the lulz of having Australia in the Axis of evil group (according to the retard Bush). Also, it would be funny the Australian team would have to fly allllllll the way to the middle east 3 times.

Relevant because it's hard to talk smack when your team hasn't won anything in 15 years while the 2 teams mentioned for "spanking" have won multiple trophies over that time frame...

Looking good in qualifiers and friendlies = zero indication as to how the team will perform in official competition.

So what, when France won the WC in 1998 they had won nothing, while Germany were reigning European Champions, had 3 WC stars on their shirts and they still got thrown out of the competition by a country none of us can pronounce because in 1998, they weren't very good at the time - at the current time, Germany are very, very good.

And I wouldn't get into a past glories wankfest with ze Germans unless I was Italian.

PS: That being said, I will actually support Les Bleus over most teams besides Germany. :X

France won the Euro in 2000 as well + Confederations Cup in 2001 and 2003.

And France almost won the WC2006, I rate them highly. I just think if you are actually talking about current strength, even the 2008 Euros don't mean shit anymore.

I do think that France will go deep, though. I actually rate those French players people seem to keep dismissing.

I just took issue with your way of arguing, not necessarily your point. And I don't understand why France would need a "slapping" - yes they behaved like dicks at the 2010 WC, but towards themselves, not other nations, so in a way they can still be called - you guessed it - humble and respectful.

I was messing around with Babun with my response because he's looking for a reaction lol... Spain has to be the favorite with Germany behind them. Dutch are a bit overrated, Italy underrated. France is ??? as they are playing Italy 1990s style football.

Our midfield is a mess creatively. We're going to play a very defensive 4-3-3 with 2 DMs and rely on the counter attack. There's no other solution. We have no #10.

My reticence with Germany is that their setup is great stylistically, but is not the best for official competitions. If Germany won all its games 2-0 as opposed to 4-1 or 4-2, i'd be on board. But giving up 16 goals in 14 games is way too much. France, for example, has only given up 5 goals in 13 games. Italy probably right on par with France.

This won't be good for tournament, lesser teams will be in Knockout stage and it will be boring. Hopefully France won't go to Spain/Netherlands group and Germany will go to the host group then there won't be a group of death.

Let's hope UEFA corruption will fix the draws so that we have interesting knockouts, and not just one interesting group... :X
