Carvajal
He is making his long awaited debut with the first team, travelling to Lyon for the CL game.
I wonder if he will get some minutes, but the kid is in tremendous form with Castilla.
It's about time he gets his debut

Re: Carvajal
Carvajal has greatness in him. But he should not be left on the bench with little playing time for a year or two... he's like Marcelo as he needs pt to figure things out. Is Madrid the place to grow like that? I don't know. Marcelo was a close thing.
Kind of my issue with Varane right now.... he can only get better at this point by experiencing game situations. Not suggesting he should start, because he obviously shouldn't. But his situation will hit a critical point next season and i don't see how it will get resolved unless he moves to RB.

Re: Carvajal
I agree with Sport. Marcelo has been a starter since he was 19....., I wouldn't mind a loan deal with Carjaval.
We have enough cover with the RB position in the squad and he could really use the first team experience.
We would totally be f**king over Castilla though....

Re: Carvajal
Higuain and Marcelo developed with the first team, the result being awesome sauce. Both of them are now great great players.
I feel, no, I'm certain that had they went out on loan they wouldn't be as good as they are today.
Getting playing time is important but if these kids want to develop into truly class players they have to do it here. No there and back again stuff, straight to the first team.
Of course there is the issue of limited spots but no one said it was going to be easy and the reward is worth the wait.

Yeah. But i don't see that happening while Mou is here... I'm stunned he's playing guys younger than 25 lol.

Re: Carvajal
True I guess we have to count our blessing xD
Some background info on Carva:
"Dani is from Leganés, and in his ninth season in the cantera, and second with Castilla. Ever since he’s been here, he’s been compared to Míchel Salgado, due to the position they both play, their manner of playing (spirit and sacrifice) as well as physical similarities (short with blond hair, although Dani’s hair is now brown). In Castilla, there are three captains. One is chosen by the team, which is Nacho; one is chosen by the coach, which is Juanfran; and one is chosen by the club, which is Carvajal this year. If he plays tonight, he’ll wear the “32.” MFC recently gave us this photo from 2004, of Dani putting the first stone of the future Ciudad Deportiva de Valdebebas in place."
This kid has Real Madrid in his blood.

They played with top south American teams before coming here, not a 3rd level team like Castilla. Unless we get to liga adelante, he should be loaned out for a year to get that maturity, development he will need. Also what this that omarish has said that he is weak defensively! Any truth to this?

Not to mention Higuain only got his chance after a season long Van Nistelrooy injury, and all Marcelo had to compete with was our worst Left-back in history.
ATM Carjaval is 3rd choice RB and it will remain that way until he proves himself in a big leauge OR Freak season ending injuries to Ramos and Arbeloa.

Re: Carvajal
Calm down guys, its just a callup to bolster the squad since we have injuries. Maybe hell get his chance in the two CL group dummy games.

Re: Carvajal
There's a two year buy back option inserted in his sales agreement, which I think Madrid will use. Good luck to him, hope he shines and returns home very soon.

Re: Carvajal
I think the players have to be good at their new club to be bought back. If Rodrigo does well next season then he may be bought back. Not sure if there's such as thing as a clause expiring.

2 year enough time to break out a 20 year old in a new league and new country?
since when was the last time we used a buy back option? NEVER.
It takes more than 2 years for him to establish there.
We have a perfect platform to integrate the youth player yet we are seeling the one who deserve promotion this year.
He cant do any worse than Arbeloa last year.
Mou is a *bleep* joke when it comes to youth players.
he gives *bleep* all to youth players.
