Nicola Rizzoli - wall of shame?
What a horrible referee!! I got upset when not awarded the penalty to Marchisio and this ref gave multiple stupid yellow cards - I didn't see a single cooldown-talk in the game. Couldn't keep his head calm and gave yellow cards to avoid trouble - overlooking penalties and positioned poor - disagreeing with the assistant referee???
Look at Pirlo's yellow?

Worst Ref in Italy... I'll tell you that. And yet the FIGC appoints him to these type of games...

The best referee in Italy. He keeps games under control.

Disgrace, keep him away from the big games. I will trust him with Novara vs Chievo and games along those lines.

Devi Angel, yeah, but only formally. I wouldn't give a penalty for it, and probably nobody would. Let's admit it.
Did you see that moment in Manchester's derbi when it had to be given a penalty but the referee just showed some strange things with his wristle while running away?
Though, Pirlo shouldn't have got yellow card, imo.

Re: Nicola Rizzoli - wall of shame?
Even the best referees can make mistakes.. that was a clear penalty, yes, but most of the yellow cards were justified (except Pirlo's). Otherwise, he is a good referee but he was lucky that Juve won, otherwise there would have been a nice scandal. Also, Moratti and Ranieri achieved what they wanted, they cried so much about refereeing after the past matches that now noone is brave enough to call a penalty vs them. Lame.
Wow. Don't know which game you were watching but that was a clear cut penalty. I've watched it with English commentators first, they said that was a sure penalty. Yesterday watched with Hungarian commentator he was even more sure about this, that call could have costed Rizzoli's good reputation, but this way probably not so much. Even goal.com match report called it a very controversial call.Bakai wrote:Devi Angel, yeah, but only formally. I wouldn't give a penalty for it, and probably nobody would. Let's admit it.

dronte, in Manchester it also was a penalty but the referee didn't give it. It's not a very rare thing.
Referees obviously take into consideration many things, and not killing all the intrigue is one of them, as well as chances players would have to score if they were not "beaten"(my poor english)
I remember how Krasic once also fell because of an opponent but let the ball too far and there was not given a penalty.
I am pretty sure that if only Marchisio kicked the ball more luckily we would have had a penalty.

It WAS a penalty. But we are talking about Rizzoli and I think it's not a sign of his incompetence but, considering all the things, just a very argueable decision

Re: Nicola Rizzoli - wall of shame?
I know loads of clear penalties aren't given. But it's so obvious when a keeper dives into the back of somebodies legs and takes him out. It wasn't a split second trailing leg or anything.
Inter complained about penalties before the game +
It was at the San Siro +
It would have probably been a red card too if he gave the penalty

Yeah, but i mean.. One could've asked oneself if the whistle had blown outside of the penalty-box.. i think it would have if the inter-keeper was faster out of his box.. then a red card + free kick - once it's inside the box the ref is too big a pussi to let it blow.. like i said.. wall of shame!
