I was talking about Cesare Maldini, Paolo's father who was a CB

Rivera was officially voted as the best Italian footballer in the 20th century. At least offensively he was, the debate is usually between Grande Torino's Valenitino Mazzola and Rivera

Of course I agree on Abate, I was joking when I said he is better than Vidic and Zeus. But I think he was the best RB in Serie A this season but needs to improve offensively to be compared with the world's best. He attacks like Simone Pepe and also needs to improve his temper

Rivera is not rated because he is from an era where football was not viewed by the current generation of fans and also he does not have any World Cups to his name like Meazza and Rossi. He just won Euro 68 with Italy and got the silver medal in 1970, where he was the hero of the quarterfinals and the game of the century. Older fans always say that during his era, Rivera was the best in Europe and only second to Pele. He was also officially voted as the Greatest Italian Footballer Of The 20th Century
