Strasser and Merkel>You

What about returning these players in winter? At least one. Would add depth to our squad, hell I cant see Ambrosini or Gattuso play without pain.

Maybe Strasser since hes on loan but Merkel is co-own so I doubt he could return

merkel was great yesterday.I didnt get to watch the first 30 mins of our match today so didnt see how strasser did.

Both Merkel and Strasser need to show consistency first before they are brought back. Strasser has a fantastic opportunity at Lecce and I wouldn't be against his introduction if he continues to play well, however Merkel will have a much harder time at Genoa maintaining a first team place, having just broken in and our transfer targets also subject him to further competition.

Let's wait for two months then re-assess their progress, however it's nice to know that these options exist.

There are like the 2 of a few decent players we produced in last 10 years (Abate, Matri, Donadel, etc).

totally agree, but I would prefer if they satyed for the entire season.

No matter how good they are performing now, I'd prefer them to remain where they are to get more experience and come back at the summer to be integrated to the team once the veterans leave =X

That aside.... If Merkel and Strasser can perform consistently like that, our midfield problem should be alleviated somewhat.

well iwould like merkel and strasser to play as much as possible this season, merkel had 2 consecutive start, and he played full game in both starts. so very good for him.

as for strasser, palermo game upcoming.

they could be very good player for us, next season, but if possible i would love to see them renew loan deal for another season if, allegri couldnt find space for them to play more often as they do now.
and i dont mind el sharawwy going to genoa on loan.... its pain to see a talent getting wasted in bench, and not playing at all..

Gattuso is almost forced to retire also Ambrosini and Seedorf are on their last legs so Merkel and Strasser in my opinion will be able to make the jump into Milan. Also if anyone noticed we invested long term in Valoti, good decision if you ask me.

Yeah seems like our effort in developing young primavera players has a good result.

There are still some players such Verdi, Berreta, Fossatti, Calvano, Ely, we might hear some new names in the future.

I too would rather they stay to fight for a spot on those other teams... If they keep a starting place there, then they can come back in the summer potentially. Experience is the whole point they were sent off. Why cut it short?
