Dropped points Empty Dropped points

Post by shinigami99 Sat Oct 22, 2011 10:58 pm

I wouldn't look too much into it but these points at home we shouldn't drop.

Credit to Sevilla who "beat" us tactically(parking the bus...the only way).....and their goalkeeper was beasting today

Our finishing was poor. We should have had more than just one penalty. Either way, we're 2nd now and now we are kinda dependant on madrid to drop points for us to get back top of the table(that is, until we beat them).

Actually the penalty at the end was not fair, the game would end 0-0. credits to sevilla and their goalkeeper. he saved around 7-8 chances

What about the Thiago one though? For me it looked like clearcut penalty.

And there was definitely contact on the one that we got..

Is just me or is messi on a bad form? Atleast I thought that he was bad on the last 2 games. I know some people will bring up the messi dribble against viktoria, but his decision making has been way off.

Against viktoria, it seemed as if he didn't want to pass the ball to either Villa or Pedro and today his passing was waaaay off, he would mess up the easy passes.

maybe he is doing too much sex in last weeks:) he needs to pass the ball back also. he always passes it forward doesnt matter if theres an open player or not. or he can continue dribbling its better than passing it to unreal positions. he can do more damage with his dribbling

Honestly he hasn't been in the best form. I mean he went TWO matches without scoring a goal and one WHOLE match without an assist. That's unacceptable. Let's sell him to Inter.

/Sarcasm

Honestly he was the best player behind Iniesta and Mascherano(Abidal had a good match as well). Our general attack failed and iniesta tried his best on the wings but he just does not provide us on the wing like what he does in the midfield. Messi had some misplaced passes but there were several good dribbles and plays that he did that in any other game may have ended up with a goal. Sevilla's keeper was beast today.

Messi can make spectacular thing at any time which might cloud his perfomance. For example against Viktoria, he madrid that brilliant run and that freekick but he was bad. He was being really selfish, he lost the ball, he ignored villa and pedro when they were on good position etc.

Messi is easily the best player on the world, but just because he is the best doesn't mean that you cant criticize him.

And tbh it really isn't much to brag of being one of the best player on the pitch today for barca(imo he wasn't) when no one, bar those 3 who you mentioned, stood out..

I thought it was a penalty. In live play I was not sure but on seeing the replay I can see Iniesta's right leg ahead of his left leg and the ball just ahead of his right foot. The defender hits Iniesta's left leg without making any direct contact with the ball. Hence I think the penalty decision by the referee was correct.

Maybe, but its better to move on and look at it in a positive light. At least the players will know it won't be a walk in the park.
