JFK assassination

I recently saw the movie JFK.

I want to know how much of the events depicted in the movie are real and whether the whole thing was actually a conspiracy.

EDIT:
I just realized many of you may not have watched the movie, but might still have some knowledge about the assassination.

The movie basically says that the CIA, army etc hatched a plot to kill JFK and cover it up as he had decided to pull out of Vietnam and had called off the Cuban invasion which meant a huge dent to the then prevailing $100 billion weapons industry.

JFK is a legend.

We didn't enter Vietnam until the mid 60s, at least a couple years after the assassination.

Not sure what movie about JFK the OP watched if that was the reason for the conspiracy.

US was already in Vietnam during JFK's time as they were fighting the communist forces in North Vietnam.

All I can see is the Nixon scandal, watergate.

Personally I believe in the Warren Commision and that Oswald acted alone.

All this CIA business is retarded. I'm pretty sure the movie you watched-this- is ridden with inaccuracies and unproven theories.

American "advisors" were present under JFK, McLewis, however troops specifically for combat weren't deployed until 1965. There was still a significant military presence though, ensuring that just because the French were kicked out didn't mean the West would have some say in Vietnam's future.
