One thing I never got is why would a club announce a lower fee than what they actually paid for? Wont that hit back negatively on their taxes???

Now I understand why Udinese would stay quite if it is true, I mean they would rather pay tax on 26M than to pay it on 46M, but why would the buying club do so?

For God’s shake they are Companies.
Financial audits can reveal if this kind of frauds have happened.

I doubt a Company (forget the football club label) would announce false financial data and risk fines from local tax authorities.
Of course there might have been other side agreements in the scope of this deal.

It's prolly just them wanting to look like it was a steal. They don't want clubs to treat them like Madrid. Cause the second Madrid is interested, +10mil They wanna come off as being transfer savy, so that future negotiations aren't hurt...

Barcelona are by the book and an Institution we should all hope to follow, they have always played beautiful football and are fair both on and off the pitch, especially on the pitch. Nah not really Barca paid 40 million for Ibra plus eto'o who outperformed Kaka for 3 straight seasons........
