yup, they were always one of the best teams on paper, but nobody REALLY expected them to win the tournament, because of their 'choking' history.

Well back then Italy was on top tier form and Spain was still in the "they will underachieve and bottle it as per usual" mode.

But if they meet now the tables have heavily turned since then. Italy is still top class but Spain is not the under achieving team anymore they are now they world beaters. So a reamatch now would probably see Spain win again, this time as the favorites not the under dogs

Though tbh I don't know why I rated Germany. Looking back, our squad was pretty shitty back then. Probably because of the surprising performance in 2006, but still. We had Hitzlsperger and Fritz in our squad. Those nimrods.

I think I was just enthusiastic, back then.

u had dumb and dumber as your cbs..enough said..i remember germany was nothing great that time compared to this squad, but they had that german spirit which i though would get them to the last 4 or 2 as usual.. the best moment for me however was the dutch raping italy and france with sneijdeR( rm player at that time) starring
