For me:
GK: Manuel Neuer
Defense: Phillip Lahm
Midfield: Bastian Schweinsteiger
Striker: Mario Gomez (as he plays nicely for Lazio, one finally could add Miro Klose, too)

Other people may add players from their countries, but I go for these ^^

BTW, looking at NT performances, the players very likely should be from Germany, Spain, Netherlands and possibly Uruguay.

By the way, why are people always going for THE best player? IMO there should be a differentiation at least between GK/Defense/Midfield/Attack as it is difficult to compare "the best" between these lines.

Its kinda wierd no one has named a dutch player despite them reaching world cup final and has had excellent form in qualification.

they were good at the start and started to get worse as games went by, most notably against hungary, finland and moldova(all 2nd leggers) they were just crap despite winning
