Pulis happy to boss Wales for Gary Speed memorial match

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has admitted he would happily take over as Wales manager - but only for one game.

The Welshman would be willing to send out the national side against Costa Rica on Wednesday, February 29 in a memorial game for Gary Speed.
However, while the Wales job is something he might consider later in his career, Pulis confirmed his immediate future lies at the Britannia Stadium.
He told the Stoke Sentinel: "Anything that would help in any shape or form in respect of Gary Speed, I would gladly do.

"I would have to speak to [Stoke chairman] Peter [Coates] first, of course, and if he didn't think it was right then fine.

"But if he was okay and they asked me for just a one-off game, then I'd do it out of respect for Gary.

"My main job remains at Stoke, but as I've said before, your national job is something you might look at in the future."

Well in their next six games, they play away to City, Liverpool and us, and play Newcastle at home.

So if results go our way and we beat them, then the defecit can be closed pretty quickly.

Our next six league games:

Swansea (a)
Man Utd (h)
Bolton (a)
Blackburn (h)
Sunderland (a)
Tottenham (h)

And Tottenham's next six league fixtures:

Wolves (h)
Man City (a)
Wigan (h)
Liverpool (a)
Newcastle (h)
Arsenal (a)

City 48
United 45
Spurs 45
Chelsea 37
------------
Arsenal 36
Liverpool 34

So, everyone has played 20 league games. No more games in hand for anyone. However, we have certainly had a harder fixture list on paper than Spurs.

Spurs still to play:

Man City (a)
Arsenal (a)
Liverpool (a)
Chelsea (a)

Whilst they have these fixtures to play, we can hope.

BUT, we have to do the business OURSELVES too. We can not afford to drop Stupid points.

Swansea on Sunday we have to win. Man United next Sunday, we have to win. Bolton away, blackburn home, Sunderland away we HAVE to win.

No more dropped points.

Is it too much to ask for all 18 points in those 6 matches
Manure and spuds should be beaten at home (with Titi scoring Razz )
dropping points in other 4=suicidal even if 3 of them are away

Swansea, Man utd, Spuds and Sunderland are going to be the hard ones. If we manage to get 10 points from those four games then i will be happy. But we do need to solve our fullbacks problems and i dont see that happening soon.

Chelsea would b stupid to throw him in straight away. I also think that Luiz has a lot more dynamism than he does. I also rate Ivanovic higher than him, but I'm not AVB though.

Looks like Newcastle are about to sign Pappis Demba Cisse. Would be a great signing for them.

Talks of Cissokho also joining Newcastle this month. Ever so slightly, they're building a very good team.

You consider us Rivals? Very Happy

Shame we wont see Ba and Cisse together until after AFCON, iam still very skeptical over this Cissokho talk......

Spending 7.5-9m on Cisse and then 8m on Cissokho seems very Un-Ashley.

Especially when you consider we need a CB aswell, reckon we will sign Cisse and a CB tbh.

when you wanna go with 4-4-1-1
dropping one of cisse/Ba
or Ben Arfa on the flanks?
him as effective there?
