Agnelli credits Giuseppe Marotta for Juventus revival
Juventus president Andrea Agnelli believes the rate of progress currently being witnessed by the club is all thanks to general manager Giuseppe Marotta.
In a letter published ahead of next month's annual shareholders meeting, Agnelli reviewed financial concerns, but said Marotta was lightening the load at every end of the spectrum.
"The accounts show a crude reality and we are looking at an intolerable loss," Agnelli said, as reported by Tuttosport.com.
"But, thanks to the intervention of Exor, our majority shareholder, we can invert the tendencies and return to the usual objective - to compete at the highest levels.
"There have been economic difficulties, but thanks to Marotta a new cycle with profound renovation has been born."
Juventus drew 1-1 with Catania on Sunday, but still lead the Serie A standings alongside Udinese on eight points from four games.

Alot of bianconeri blame Marotta for bad transfers and poor finishes (and I'm one of them)...but we need to realize Marotta's job is more than just transfers. He needs to pay alot of attn to finances especially with FFP coming into affect (something Moggi never had to worry about)....Juve, is one of the few clubs in Europe who are ready for FFP (others being arsenal and real madrid)...let's wait and see before we further criticize.

Re: Agnelli credits Giuseppe Marotta for Juventus revival
Yes fans demanding, 5 months ago I posted a video up showing at the end of the season when SKY had interview's with some fans claiming they wanted him sack, "When the squad struggles, the first one to be blamed is the coach". They then asked the fans, who'd they chose, and guess what... Conte was their answers. During the last games, one of them being Napoli, both curves of the stadium had Conte's names everywhere demanding him for coach. Every fan wanted him, and so, we got him.
Here we go again with this JNC... Devi, this is not the first time. I don't like Marotta. How does this compare to me being like JNC... Changed? If I changed, I would of favored Marotta then.

Too much negativity
You missed Martinez and Pepe for the record.
Thanks for Krasic, Quagliarella, Matri, Elia, Vidal, Pirlo, Bonucci, Barzagli, Lichtsteiner, Storari, Estigarribia, Sorensen, Vucinic and Conte

If I went in details with players, it may be considered trolling, so I won't bother.

Re: Agnelli credits Giuseppe Marotta for Juventus revival
The main reason I'm upset with marotta is that he said he would bring 2 star players and chased aguero/Rossi but was never willing to bid for them , why embarrass the club by chasing them when ur never
Going to make a serious bid

Actually Aguero's agent said there were three serious offers for his client, one from Real Madrid, one from Juventus and one from Manchester City.
But I do agree, Marotta's mouth + Italian media = unhappily swayed fans

Luca by serious bid I mean 40mil for aguero not 30 or 35 that marotta offered. I didn't want us to buy him for that money either but if ur not willing to spend why chase . Italian media didn't play much of a part, it was marotta that sent a fax of interest and claimed we were very interested.

Re: Agnelli credits Giuseppe Marotta for Juventus revival
marotta fueled those rumours by continuaslly saying we will bid and we have a chance. i recall when an interviewer asked him if we were going for aguero and he gave a smirk as if to say hell yeah.Luca wrote:pasquale22 wrote:Luca by serious bid I mean 40mil for aguero not 30 or 35 that marotta offered. and no 35 mil isnt a serious bid when they asked for upwards of 40mil. man city's bid was a serious bid not ours. hence why they turned us down so quickly. there are many times where marotta's pursue goes to nothing

I wonder why Aguero's agent called it a serious offer then, my mistake
And I recall that interview, Marotta didn't say anything other than Rossi and Aguero are players that we like but we have already established he has a big mouth so this is irrelevant.
You got swayed by the media, its okay the media got a lot of us. Lets just look at the bigger picture now and that is this season.
