He looks heavy and still must be recovering from the injury.

Re: Taiwo is reckless
Give him a break guys. This was his first official match in italian football. (everyone remember van bommels first match?) Since Taiwo isn't as experienced as MVB, it is going to take him longer to adapt. All the commentators said he was our worst player, but I loved his passing. They were one touches and they were accurate. And he didn't mind going forward. In time he will be ripping defences apart (like what Abate did today)

Re: Taiwo is reckless
As arabprince said MVB was red carded in his first official match in Serie A, so its not a big deal. Taiwo needs time to just get the flow of the style in Italy. I am not worried about it. But I agree also with arabprince, his passes were great. He looks to be pretty good and hopefully settles in at our starting LB role for years to come. Just have patience

His last tackle in the first half ... he did it because he was angry the referee didnt give a foul when those guys were grabbing Seedorf , lol

Re: Taiwo is reckless
Probably Taiwo still needs time to adjust, but it doesn't change the fact that he was poor yesterday. He was out of position few times, he is unfit and sould have got a second yel. card.
Generally he is Ok player, nothing special and I would not expect WC performance from him, besides he's pretty mediocre in defence.
Don't rise your expectations, you might be disappointed, I still think Zambro is our best LB.

Re: Taiwo is reckless
Ya, Taiwo committed two bookable offenses today. One more rash challenge and he would have been sent off. In fact, a different referee may not have been so lenient as to let him remain on the pitch after his tackle at the 48th minute or so.
I can't believe they would say he was our worst player! Taiwo will add so much to or team! Compare him to Zambrotta (class player, but physical skills decreasing with age) and Antonini... I believe he is a huge improvement in this position. I've spoken at length of the need for another passer in midfield, but how about a technically proficient defender?!? While Antonini can't add anything in attack and is a liability passing the ball out of defense (able only to play short passes, poor first touch), Taiwo is very comfortable on the ball. He made several important passes today. While they may not be so eye catching initially, realize that they add a different dimension to the team. When your fullbacks don't have to lay off simple passes or go backwards to retain possession, it benefits the tempo of the game immensely. Most of our attacks go down the left hand flank with Seedorf anyway. Now that he has a physically able passer at left back to partner with, the attack will be even stronger. Taiwo will be a revelation at left back and become the regular starter by the end of the season.
Galliani has effectively swapped a static player for a dynamic player. Whenever you can make that switch, regardless of the players' position, it benefits the team's ball retention and gives yet another creative option going forward. Taiwo is better than many Serie A midfielders with the ball at his feet.

Re: Taiwo is reckless
I wish we could Clone Abate with a left foot and put him on the left, could you Imagine the speed and technique on both sides if we had Abate on both sides? It would be hard to compete with.

true that!, he's plays EPL style football, kick'n'run football that depends on stamina, physical strength and pace rather technique but i'm totally fine with that, we desperately need a player of his calibur and he's proven to be pretty consistent too, he just needs to work on his crossing and attacking attributes though and he can be the best RB in the world, he's obviously not there yet....
anyway back to topic, seeing taiwo was a pleasure, let's all remember that this was his first game after coming back from injury so it's expected that his touch on the ball is a bit rusty and such, let us please remember who the alternatives are!!, headless chicken antonini and zambrotta, so taiwo anyday of the week.......

Re: Taiwo is reckless
I disagree that Abate has no technique as his only problem is being to reliant on his right foot, although he has shown great improvement in his left.
Abate has increasingly accurate crossing, excellent dribbling on use of his right foot, underrated passing, and superb intelligence, awareness and team play.
I agree with Fadi on Taiwo.

Yeah, Taiwo was fine vs Bayern in Audi Cup
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHsQ3eqKEBw
But, you can also notice that he goes into challenges very aggressively.

Re: Taiwo is reckless
Although i never been a fan, I hope his time at Milan won't be limited and he does get a chance, his power and pace could be utilsied for attacking purposes.
Was he even on the bench against juve
