Getting his freekicks in top notch. Terrific performance. Skipped past his markers and always looked dangerous. Through balls weren't there but overall great from Messi.

I agree with Donuts. It was kind of easy for te defenders to faul him all the time and cut the game flow, knowing we are no FK threat. This adds a complete new dimension to our play. Anyone a GIF of the FK?

Defenders will def think twice before committing fouls in dangerous areas when messi is around, thats for sure.

I think lately the teams figured out how to stop him -> foul him, cut the game flow. Now, definitely (as others said as well) he is getting more dangerous.

His FK was better than Ronnie's, no doubt. Problem is though, his shots are average in terms of power if not weak. He won't do much from long distance ones unless the GK had a slow reaction, see Casillas in Bernabeu.

Imagine if he had Cristiano's thighs, tho. Razz
