Correct, in January he turns 18. At that time he'll be able to obtain a work visa and he'll sign a six year contract then.

EDIT: According to the article he has already signed the contract. But he's still not available until January

ahhhhh, explains why ive heard nothing and seen nothing of him the entire pre season, i was getting a bit worried tbh
good to hear theres a reason hes not playing and good to see has the right attitude, could be a revitalising breath of fresh air into our squad come Jan

hopefuly he can force kalou out of the XI too

Whoa, you're rushing him. Don't expect him to be in the first team anytime soon, he has a long way to go for that. He's going to have some time with the reserves for probably the remainder of the season and maybe even a part of next season, and then he'll be sent on loan to small clubs in small leagues to gain experience. He's a long way off from the first team and so don't expect him to make it before 2-3 seasons. And Piazon isn't a winger.

I'd prefer play with 10 men than Kalou...

Piazon is more like Kaka from what I've read...

he was almost our player..But you came in and offered an enormous salary for a teenager..

ok from i have watched as well lol.. i actually saw quite a bit of him during some recent competition.. some u-17 cup or something.. cant remember.

Talking bout future.. De Bruyne deal failed eh? but his talks will begin again in two weeks apparently.

He'll join us. in jan or next year. He will come. it's a bit like the cesc saga IMO.

Our youngsters in the youths and reserves play a lot of one touch passing, Piazon will fit in nicely since his one touch passing is one of his best feature.

Its kinda amazing the difference in playing style between the senior squad and the reserves.

The reserves are much more enjoyable to watch.

I agree he shares more similarity with Muller then Kaka.

But his one touch passing is still very good.

Who knows where he plays in 2-3 years from now, it could be ST,SS,Winger,CAM,or CM.

Ganso, you've obviously seen him play more than most of us, what would you say the likelihood of him breaking into the Brazil snr NT and the Chelsea first team in a few years? Does he have the potential to be WC?
