the difference is you kinda expect it when Barca or Madrid are playing so you dont get that excited, plus this has been going for a few seasons now so chelsea's double season isnt exactly relevant

yes, la liga is in a bad state atm, but using madrid and barcelona beating the crap out of relegation battlers as an argument against the league is bullshit, pardon my french, for the above mentioned reason

cmon fanbois I know you find it boring to have a 99% chance to win each game, a introduction of valencia with money and malaga with cityesque transfers would be welcommed by the league and its watchers

None the less i do agree with you that financially the league needs a major shake up.

well i dont get exited when Barca play in Champions league Finals either
Re: AM I the only one who find it boring to watch Madrid/Barca smash..
It's not really an attack on the league, although this does seem to be escalating to a battle of the leagues.
It is boring for neutrals to watch Madrid put 6 past apathetic Zaragoza.

lol its not relevant if they are relegation battlers or whatever laliga is repetetive and have been for some years now and while barca/madrid get stronger the other teams sell their stars and don´t do anything to challenge them

this. I´m simply stating my opinion on how it would benefit the league if just the tv rights to start with got shared equal. As mole mentioned a economic shakeup would do wonders for the league

Re: AM I the only one who find it boring to watch Madrid/Barca smash..
To be honest i miss that old Real Madrid team..Star-studded team(not saying present one isnt) but the glamour quotient is considerably less when you compare the current squad to the team of the early 2000s..
And also the old Madrid team were far more entertaining(expecting a few of them to deny it obviously) than the current team..Who can forget the lackadaisical Real Madrid defending..
Also Valencia and Deportivo La coruna were too very competitive teams along with Real Sociedad and it was certainly fun to watch then..
It was still watchable in the Rijkaard era but since Pep has taken over co-inciding with Real Madrid's Galactico project thereby the aim to take down to Barca ,the gap between the the top 2 and the rest has increased enormously..
The quality of football is evident but honestly lack of competition is killing the league..And it has sort of become 'boring' to watch entertaining football..

Zaragoza are relegation candidates so of course we were going to beat them.

Yeah, when 9 out of 10 times it's boring to watch Barca or Real Madrid play another opponent in La Liga, it is bad. And 9 out of 10 times it really is boring.
I'm not saying there aren't one-sided games in other leagues, but this problem is the biggest in La Liga.

and noone disagrees with that
my point was that while it is true, using the top 2 raping relegation candidates as a proof for that is stupid because it happens elsewhere too

Re: AM I the only one who find it boring to watch Madrid/Barca smash..
Im just happy with the quality of the football at least.
Quality of La Liga IMO just so far surpasses anything else, but even that can't save a league from being seen as boring, and I admit, when Barca and Madrid play (although I enjoy it lol, if its Barca) for most neutrals- and by that i mean all neutrals- it will be boring.
I agree with Mole, something should be done perhaps to make it a bit more fair economically (is that the right word?). The spending power of Barca and Madrid is just ridiculous compared to most La Liga teams.

It's not boring watching them play against each other, Villareal, Valencia, Atletico, Sevilla, Athletic and the upcoming Malaga and possibly Espanyol. That's 8/19 opponents, hardly 9/10 times, and just about the same ratio as the EPL.

If madrid and barca were playing in any other league, there will be similar matches too, dont tell me stoke are better than seville.
Re: AM I the only one who find it boring to watch Madrid/Barca smash..
The thing is Real and Barca are expected to beat everyone. The same way currently City and United are, it's just that there are less shock results in La Liga than in EPL.

It is extremely boring, and apart from economic reasons, most teams pretty much give up upon facing Madrid and Barca, even heavyweights like Valencia. It's a mental thing as well, because you have the talent and can cause damage. See the Bundesliga and Serie A.

Re: AM I the only one who find it boring to watch Madrid/Barca smash..
in my humble opionion.
I think its the lower table, super broke teams that really make La Liga look bad. The mid table and top tier teams are pounding out the smaller clubs extremly bad. Then you have probably have 2 of the best teams in the world that would likely make any teams in any league look bad, yet alone a league that has lower, broke teams that consitantly can't hang with them no matter what. But Atletico, Atletic, Sevilla, Valencia, Villareal, Espanyol are actually not that bad.
That's the main difference between LA Liga and EPL imo. It's mainly because the lower league clubs in the EPL are better managed and arent in a crisis of debt and can atleast with stand getting pounded out by the bigger clubs. But just like in La Liga, you have 3 teams pretty much locked for top 3 (Valencia, R Madrid and Barca), in the EPL for the longest it was only the usual 4 (Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U). It's not till Liverpool fell off that any other club other than those 4 had a chance to finish top. And now Arsenal's downward spiral and Man City's cash crop that might spice things up, but I doubt teams like Everton actually think they can finish top 4 just how I am sure Mallorca doesnt expect to finish top 4 either. So yea, in my humble opinion its the lower tier clubs that are the real difference between the two leagues...not the mid and top tier clubs

To be honest, you had me with your profile picture, Mole. It brims intelligence and knowledge.
Alfred making a good point with the fact that watching other La Liga teams is insanely entertaining though
People need to stop watching just Barca and Madrid if they want accurate views of La Liga and how great the football is.
