I might actually follow the French league this year.
The quality of football there has risen in the past couple of years.

I am surprised with Ochoa, he has been solid and hopefully can move on to a bigger club after this term. Ajaccio has such shit defense

Ligue once became a lot better when Bordeux won the title. Yes they couldnt live up to the hype but that put a belief in the nearly teams that they can too win the Tittle
Marsielle won it, then Lille won it. Now lyon with Garde looks great once again
Im a lorient fan though and watch them more then any other

Id' love to watch but bloody ESPN shows the bloody Russian league instead of Ligue 1.....
Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 plus with Sky Sports coverage of EPL and La Liga would put me into football heaven tbh.

Re: Ligue 1: after one month....
We have the sh*ttiest defense in all of France. Seriously, we have some offensive firepower but even Diarra is having issues with how poor our back line is
It's blatantly obvious we miss the presence of Heinze or Taiwo on the left, Morel is not top quality. Nkoulou still needs to develop and learn our system, Mbia is injured for 2 months, and Diawara is getting too old. Fanni is a failure in the centre and Azpi cannot perform when the rest of the line is floundering in their own idiotic sorrows
I feel sorry for DD, he does not deserve this piss poor showing of any defense at all
With all of that being said, this French season looks to be a good one, hopefully we can overcome our problems by the next match and start challenging like we should be

Re: Ligue 1: after one month....
Two seasons ago we had a very good ligue 1 season. Last season it was poor and now it looks like it has potential to be good again.
Premier league and La Liga and Italian league are 2 horse races or 3 at best.
4 teams and even 6 have a real chance to win Ligue 1 this year.

Nice start from Montpellier. Have absolutely no idea who plays there so I may need to ask what is contributing to their decent start. Also, need to find time to start back watching Ligue 1 again...

They have a good defense. Bocaly is doing very well at right back, their CB duo of Hilton and Mbiwa is probably the most solid right now. Belhanda and Estrada are the surprise for the moment as they bring more creativity than Montpellier ever had the past seasons. Their best player is Giroud, their striker, who could very well join the NT if he continues to perform that well. He is physical, can get in good positions and can shoot from anywhere. When we played them last matchs, he hurts our defense badly, only to be denied by Lloris.
Montpellier is first after 4 matchs eventough they had a crazy calendar, with 3 title contenders, Lille, Rennes and Lyon.

As it should be
It disappoints me that we let go of Hilton, undergo a huge defensive crisis, then watch him join (and start for) the club showing the best defensive promise in France. Very disappointing....

Re: Ligue 1: after one month....
I understand your frustration. Losing Heinze, Taiwo and Hilton in one mercato was a huge blow to your defense. Also Fanni made a ridiculous fault with his tackle on Hazard.
Anyway once NKoulou and Mbia will be back it will improve. With Diarra juste above, you are still very strong. Our central defense looks worse. Lovren is very average this season so far, Cris and Mensah are injured. Only Koné is showing some spirit.

Dayum, never thought marseille would be bottom of the table this start of a season. Their on big trouble, deschamps isint really doing anything about it too.
