I think the idea is that he will be Boateng's replacement.

Strong rumours we've beaten off Roma and Porto who offered more and we've got him for £6Million.

Only has 6 international caps so a work permit could be an issue.

We've signed England U16 keeper, Angus Gunn, from Norwich. Yes, the son of Bryan Gunn.

Confirmed on his Twitter.

Lets hope he's better than his dad.

True though Boyata is on the cusp and Reece Wabara who made his debut against Bolton on the final day of the season should feature this season.

He's a left back and built like a tank.

Odd that we have so many youth players who are sons of ex pros. This is our third.

We have Harry Bunn, son of Oldham striker Frankie Bunn and Dervante Cole son of Andrew Cole.

Sky Italia - Interview with Mancini Live from Sardinia.

talked with sanchez and the guy was happy to come at City but now the price has become too high and so City has retired from the auction. no interest in cerci. he also said in the next days city will close some deals. Tevez stays.

Oh well....lets see if Barca pay the premium now.

Udinese have been taking the piss.

He was loaned to Bolton first, than to Rangers.Dunno where is he playing now but he is a very good player with a lot of potential.

Cheers lads, much appreciated.

Looks like Mancini was telling porkies last night and the Cerci interest is absolutely real so much so that a bid has been put in to Fiorentina of around £6M.

Seems like a player who was highly thought of at Roma and then went out on loan to Brescia and Pisa and did well but couldn't make the stup up and moved to Fiorentina where he's been a bit hit and miss.

Mancini holds him in high regard so thats good enough for me.

If we do get him then he looks like depth for Adam Johnson which means SWP will be moved on to Bolton more than likely.

We'll see.

Incidently I'm not totally sure what the future holds for Weiss. Wouldn't suprise me in the slightest if he went back to Scotland if something could be agreed with Rangers.

I think one of Jo and Adebayor will probably be sold, especially if Sanchez is signed. Also Mancini might not start all 3 together if he keeps last seasons system.

Mancini ruled out signing Sanchez if I recall correctly. Udinese are such trolls.

I saw City linked with 7M move for Clichy today from a reliable paper

City should really sell Adam Johnson to Liverpool.

God, I would love that. Don't see it happening though. Sad

Both are leaving this summer.

Been shopping Adebayor to Zenit and PSG and he's turned down both. Probably wants to stay in England so we'll see if Redknapp makes an offer.

Jo just needs to find another club. Another Brazilian bust.

Clichy would provide nice depth along with Kolorov and allow us to sell Wayne Bridge to any club dumb enough to take him.

We have a lot of crap that Hughes bought to get shot of.

Donal McDermott has joined Huddersfield on a free transfer.

Always liked him, he's a pacy left winger who should do well in league one.

What's with all the links to wingers, then? More newspaper bullshit or do you actually need another wide player?

When Adam was injured in January and out of action for eight weeks Mancini stated that it was a big loss to the team because we didn't have another player who could do the same job.

It was obvious in that moment that he didn't rate SWP at all and given his limited game time this season he would be gone this summer.

Apparantly we tried to sign Cerci last summer but he chose to stay in Italy and sign for Fiorentina though Mancini has stated on numerous occasions he thinks the guy is the best winger in Italy and someone who hasn't even come close to realising his potential. The fact that he's a left footed player who plays on the right wing also makes him simular to Adam Johnson so if AJ is injured he feels this guy could come in and do a job. Depth signing.
