‘Bruno Alves wants Juve’

Zenit defender Bruno Alves wants to join Juventus before the transfer window closes, his father has stated.

The Portuguese international has been paired with the Turin giants over the last few days and he seems willing to make the switch.

“My son is one of the best defenders in the world and Juventus are one of the top clubs that the game offers,” the stopper’s dad told Tuttosport.

“It’s only normal that they could do well together and Bruno has a desire to wear the black and white shirt.

“I’ve also made that clear to the Zenit officials even if I’ve assured them that he’s a professional and he will accept the club’s decision.

“However, I do hope that my son will find himself in Turin in the space of a week.”

Alves, 29, signed for Zenit in 2010.

It’s claimed that he could join the Italian outfit in a swap deal that sees Leonardo Bonucci move in the other direction.

Bruno Alves is a class?sorry but this guy was just an overated defender and nothing else.Bonucci was an overated signing last season for us too but he is younger and italian so i prefer him

he is a very solid defender better than bonucci anyday also in term of age he is 29 , he has 5 to 6 years on him

our main problem is from set pieces , with him this problem is solved , he is a monster , no one can over jump him

Alves, who has 39 caps for Portugal, joined Zenit from Porto last summer in a deal worth €22 million.
