Spurs to land Juve winger (Iago Falque)

Tottenham are reportedly poised to sign highly-rated Juventus winger Iago Falque on loan.

Reports in Spain claim Falque is due in London to undergo a medical before sealing a season-long move to White Hart Lane.

Juventus have only allowed the loan move to go through after agreeing a new deal with the Spaniard which will see the player contracted to the Italian giants until 2014.

Spurs were keen on signing the Spain Under 21 international on a permanent basis, but Juve were not willing to sell the talented attacker.

Falque is highly-regarded at Juventus, but the 21-year-old is well down the pecking order at the Turin club and he spent last season on loan at Villarreal B.

A number of Spanish clubs including Rayo Vallecano, Celta Vigo and Levante all expressed an interest in signing Falque this summer, but the player has decided to move to Tottenham.

Falque's father has confirmed his son is relishing the challenge of joining Tottenham for the 2011/12 season.

"Iago loves big challenges and this with Spurs is very important," said Falque Snr.

"It will be hard, but he will fight for his place."

Loan? Yeh fine but damn if we gave this guy a real opportunity who knows how could he could've been by now

As Wenger has shown multiple times, AMCs have many if not all the skills required for a winger, and often times excel when played there

It would be nice if Arsene took him on loan as a favor to Juve after what we had to put up with Traore.

He actually came to us as a left midfielder. At Villarreal B he began to be transitioned into an attacking midfielder. Nothwithstanding in a 4-2-4 he can play as a playmaking left winger who can either go to the by line or cut in and create from central postions (think Mata)- which is exactly what we need on the left flank.

Ayways I hope he does well at Tottenham and gets some consistent playing time that will earn him a call back to us. His contract extension gives me hope that maybe he still might have a future here.
