Juventus to swap Bonucci for Bruno Alves - report

Juventus could be ready to swap Leonardo Bonucci for Zenit St Petersburg’s Bruno Alves, according to Tuttosport.

The Turin giants have been scouring Europe all summer as they search for a centre-back to partner Giorgio Chiellini next season.

It was thought that a move for Chelsea’s Alex would solve the problem, but that deal has stalled for the moment causing the Old Lady to look elsewhere, with Zenit’s Portuguese defender now heading their list of targets.

Initial talks have already taken place and the Russian club were not prepared to accept a cash only deal for Alves; instead they are willing to accept a cash-plus-player agreement.

Bonucci, 24, is five years younger than Alves, and Zenit coach Luciano Spalletti is thought to have asked for around €5 million plus the former Bari stopper in order to complete a deal.

Zenit paid €23m for the former Porto defender just over a year ago.

I am for Bruno Alvez but i dont want Bonucci to leave us.

All are gambles~ Even if we bought all of Alex, Alves, Elia and Bastos, what will they become after one year? Look at Krasic, Iaquinta, Melo and Amauri, they just can not improve their level with us~

I will b shattered if bon Bon leaves. Ppl forget how great he was early last season when we went on that great defensive run .

99% of reports are either false of off detail. So i'm not worried about Bon being shifted as a makeweight.

Any defender we bring in will be to give Bonucci competition or add depth to the squad.
