You don't sit a starter that has been performing well over months for one that had one very good game... Otherwise, Benz would have overtaken Higuain after the hat tricks against Ajax and Auxerre last season. Mou is not that type of coach anyhow. You earn your starting position over time and then you have to play yourself out of it. Di Maria is the prime example. Higuain's return last year shows the same thing as Benz was benched until Higuain showed he wasn't up to speed. Same goes for Carvalho.

You have to be subpar for a lot of games to get the ax. Changes happen as a result of an accumulation of events... not a knee jerk reaction.

Higuain will probably be the starter for a match or 2 to allow benzema ease his way into full recovery. no need to rush the benz. This year will a great competitive year for our forwards. Hopefully Higuain's rise will make benzema work harder. Benz is too lazy for my taste as of late.

Carvalho is still our only ball playing CB. We missed him abit against Espanyol. He does have some to offer in the attack, not so much in the defense though. I understand abit why Mou is using him.

While I always enjoy trashing Albilol he is to his credit great on the ball. It's his overall defending that isn't that high.
