He was fantastic. I don't know if it's on the video but he also got an assist for Matri in the dying seconds of the Milan game to win 2-1.

Did he control Milan's mid, as initially bought for?

He was shaky at first but after a couple of mistakes he upped his game and controlled parts of the game on his own.

To be honest not really, he played almost as a AM, between the midfield and attack. I gather that's the role he played at 'Kusen no?

I think we will see in light of this:

Marchisio-Pirlo
Vidal
Krasic-Matri-Vucinić

Pirlo-Marchisio was brilliant against Inter, it's looking strong. Vidal is so much more than a DM. In a free role like that he can muck in with the midfield but also join the frontline as he did with great effect.

A 4-2-1-3 formation. Yes please, don't mind if I do.

I would love to see a team try a 4-2-4 formation against udinese with their 5 man midfield. Even vs 4 it gets dominated.

Vidal impressed everyone here in the AM position and it seemed to suit him in Leverkusen. I hope it happens.

1) Scored a goal 25 yards out(As Support Striker)
2) Hit the crossbar and almost scored again in the penalty Box
3) Played as a Support Striker, CM and RW
4) In RW got assist(Cross)
5) Owned Milan's Midfield like no tommorow, worked hard

Made one mistake when he lost the ball in midfield to Gattuso(No Surprise) ...
