Good point, Sahin was a bargain? But why? Because of Real Madrid. Every player dreams of going real madrid, they have Mourinho, World class players, and the best shots on any title. So Real Madrid pay a lot less, Just like they did with Ozil. Juventus have neither of the three, so in all, Vidal was better.
Nuri Sahin went for cheap because there was a pittance amount of 6.5m million buy out clause in his contract..
Infact Real Madrid paid more than the expected transfer fee..a reported 10 m to be precise..

Exactly but the only reason I consider Vidal to be a bargain for example think of it this way, Sahin would have rather gone to Madrid for the buy out clause at 6.5m then Juventus. So in that case, Juventus would have to pay MORE and offer higher wages just to cover the fact they are not as good as Real. If we were to buy Sahin then we would have to pay 15m+ (It's the same story with Carrol going to Liverpool, they had to pay so much just because Liverpool was not as good as the other teams he could have gone to).
Off topic, this is my first time I've been studying Juve's transfer season so much, and it really feels like we can 'make it' this season, but has it been like this since Calciopolli Scandal? So I'd like to ask someone more 'experienced' , does this transfer season actually look like a breakthrough and a step in the right direction? Or is there a possibility that it could all be hype and the team will fail, just like the past 5 years.

Well if you look at the actual signings and money spent, it is similar to last year. Last year we got Krasic, Quags and Bonucci and this year we got Vidal, Vucinic and Pirlo. You can try to compare the players but at the end of the day they would balance out. Also, last year we got some duds in Martinez, Traore, Motta, Pepe, Rinaudo and Lanzafame. This year the rest look to be okay in Pazienza, Lichtsteiner and Ziegler. I don't see any real duds there so that is good. So overall, I would maybe say this year's transfers are better, but we will have to wait until December to find out for sure.
Marotta promised us 2-3 champions and instead we got some good quality players in Vucinic, Vidal, Licht and Pirlo. Is that enough to get us a CL spot? Only time will tell. Perhaps in the next 13 days Marotta will surprise us with anoter signing. If so, then maybe our summer mercato will turn out great. Let's wait and see.

What about it ?
And does it matter if it was Real Madrid ? It was still the best transfer no matter what the team was. Make all the excuses you want, but Sahin was a better transfer. Krasic who wanted Juventus like no tomorrow was still how much ?

I guess your the same type of person to blame Morrota for not bringing in Aguero or Rossi or Tevez. Please acknowledge that the status of the team has a LARGE effect on the transfer.
