They just raised pretty much every player a bit... and it seems pace isn't important in this game.

All the ratings are pretty good, except Busquets is 83... inferior to pretty much every player in the first team which is stupid. So underrated. Its not a matter of him having great stats despite an overall either, he's underrated in stats too.

So Busquets is our worst player in the starting 11? Or Abidal is lower?

Did I read correctly Afellay has 84 and Keita 81?

Messi only has 4 star skill moves in the demo ... They better give him 5 star skill moves in the retail version.

I think the strength thing is more to do with weight and ability to hold the ball up more than actual strength. It seems stupid I know but, it's for the sake of balance so big, heavy defenders don't get pushed around as it's hard enough to defend.
Based on just pure strength, Messi should be in the 70's. It is all for balances sake.

Can't wait to play the demo, but for playstation 3 it's only been out today and my download speed is shocking.

Going back to the talk about the skill moves - I use a keyboard, and I've never found it difficult to make Messi beat his man even without using any of the skill moves. It's impossible to do anything on the keyboard, but simple acceleration and deceleration and change of direction is your best friend when controlling Messi in FIFA.

I was playing online with my friend (FIFA 11 here), and I won 9-0, with 8 of the goals scored by Messi.

How do you like this new FIFA? On which platform will you play it? I will be playing on PC, I don't have PS3 or XboX. Hopefully I won't be bored of this FIFA after 2 weeks like I was year ago by FIFA 11. Last truly good FIFA was 2003 IMO, and best ever was 98 Road to World Cup IMHO. I will play on gamepad, on keyboard FIFA is unplayable. As usually I will start career mode, playing FC Barcelona and as always my first transfer will be buying Sergio Aguero

I saw on the Demo that Cesc Fabregas is rated 89. Surely he should be a rated a bit lower than that. He didn't have his greatest of seasons last season and hasn't done great for the national team (apart from the World Cup which was ages ago). I am sure that he will be transferred back to Barcelona before it is released and that his rating will decrease to about 87 or 86. All the other ratings all right!

FIFA usually chuck big ratings on players for there probable ability not based on their performances. For example Kaka was given an 88 when he didn't have the best season for RM, but his ability was probably around ~87
