Juventus coach Antonio Conte has earmarked Sevilla winger Diego Perotti as the perfect candidate to fill the void on the left wing at the Turin giants, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
The Serie A outfit have long been in the market for a new left-sided player and have previously been linked with players such as Hamburg's Eljero Elia and Olympique Lyonnais ace Michel Bastos.
Nevertheless, Perotti is now the club's top priority after moves for the aforementioned duo fell through.
A Juventus delegation will travel to Hannover on Thursday to see Perotti in action in Sevilla's Europa League play-off against the German side, and they are expected to make a formal approach for the 23-year-old in the coming days.
Perotti has a contract with Sevilla until the summer of 2015 and an offer in the region of €10 million could be needed to lure him away from the Primera Division side.
Juventus still see Fiorentina star Juan Vargas as a useful alternative as well if they fail to lure Perotti to Turin, but will focus on the Argentine for now as they feel he fits perfectly with Conte's footballing philosophy.
