The only thing I didn't like about the game was the result.

Re: Analysis of the first leg ;)
Benzema is a retard in the air. Has been like that since he's been a kid... has never, ever been close to decent at it. One of the reasons he never developed as a true #9.
But Blanc and Mou have harped on him about it and he's making the runs to get involved in the air and make himself a target. Had a real bad show with his head yday... but that is by far his weakest area. Much better at it when he can move into the header. When he's asked to create power and direction standing still, he really has a hard time.

If he really is this bad then he is making progress, he positions himself properly now. A big leap forward, now, he should strengthen that neck of his a bring more power into it. his head is perfect for heading, sound and round, bounce the way you want :lol!:sportsczy wrote:Benzema is a retard in the air. I forgot, he should take the heading sessions with Ozil :lol!:

You obviously were watching a different game. Ramos was solid.

I found so as well but it's fashionable to criticise Ramos. Sometimes, it can be unfair but then again, he probably deserves it nonetheless...

Seriously we all have to blame our forwards not using their chance. our defense did their usual performance.
We've been so unlucky, hope those missed chance pays off in the future.

Re: Analysis of the first leg ;)
I dont get it,what has casillas done wrong? First one was as usual Ramos flopping against a skilled player. The guy has become a liability to our team,no defensive awareness,no decision making fuuuu.
Second goal,well..putting arguably one of the best player ever one on one with GK and you blame GK for conceding?

Re: Analysis of the first leg ;)
even ramos doesnt deserve that much blame.
Villa cut in and shot, the ball went through an unbelievable angle and he scored. Ramos was still in front of him, but the ball went through anyway.
That kind of things happen. Skilled forwards will always take the upper hand on defenders, specially when they cut in on their stronger foot, it's virtually unblockable. Best you can do is stay in front of the forward, and cover the angles.
Robben is "mr one trick pony ill cut on my left and there is nothing you can do about it" guy. Villa has always been a very skilled forward, short and agile, not easy to handle on 1v1.
Ramos might not be the best in those situations, but there was nothing he would have done to stop that goal. the turn and the shot were at such pace, you can only hope to block it.
Getting tired of hearing about how he got owned by Ronnie, Henry, Villa... wow. He might have been bad, but are you guys even realizing the quality of the players he had to deal with in those clasicos?

Re: Analysis of the first leg ;)
I know nick,i dont usually judge our players based on barca alone but Ramos isnt that good against other teams too.He has the worst decision making in our squad.
He is a freaking athlete and have good enough technique for a RB but his lack of defensive awareness is frustrating.Of course he will often have good games but that doesnt justify his lack of concentration in all other games,He still have a mentality to rush into tackle and doesnt read the game well.
Btw Marcelo is improving ,from a guy who always rush into slide tackle to a ok defender who can read the game .I still have to see Ramos making any improvements as a RB.
