According to the newspaper depor.pe South America would be skipped, at least momentarily, the transfer of Juan Manuel Vargas (27) from Fiorentina to Juventus. We need a true LW if we want flexibility in our formations and depth on the squad. Whether or not that should be Vargas is debatable. If we can get rid of Amauri to get a LW, I would take that deal any day.

I would be happier without a left wing at this point.
Play a 4-3-3 with Vucinic as the left wing/lwst spot or use Pasquato as the left winger.

At least until January.

Amauri is still a boss, I hope he leaves Italy because if he joins a Parma-like team he is going to light it up again, he has a small club mentality but he plays like a big player while at those smaller clubs. 7 goals in 11 apps>

I think we need a true LW before the season starts for depth purposes alone. It doesn't have to be a great player, but someone that can play backup if we have injuries. People seem to be pushing Pasquato more on this board, which I'm not going to debate. However, even if he is the first choice, we will need someone to back him up. All it would take is one injury among the forwards or pasquato and we're looking at trouble in covering the LW.

Exactly. Before the season started, Juve had to, at the very least, sign a RB, forward, and LW to give the squad proper depth. They didn't solve those problems by signing Vucinic to play LW/SS or by slotting Pasquato into the position. One injury to a forward or pasquato and we lose all of the flexibility that people rave about in being able to switch from a 4-4-2/4-2-4 to a 4-3-3. I am happy with the transfer market so far, but if we fail to sign a LW, I may have to oin the anti-Marotta folks on this board.

I read this as Amauri blows the Vargas
