Re: Newcastle away Pre-Match Thread
Guess I wasn't too far off. I was complete guessing for some positions.
Obertan vs Traore: Epic battle in the making right there.

Re: Newcastle away Pre-Match Thread
Great preview! But i have to say, we look very bare in midfield without Cesc. Even no nasri upfront makes us look weak. This team is not a premier league winning team. We need to make additions if we lose cesc or nasri. Though I still dont believe either will leave.

Re: Newcastle away Pre-Match Thread
anyways, what we dont want is a repeat of last year's 2nd half performance. What we do want is the repeat of 1st half of last years match
It is a new start, a season without cesc. It kinda reminds me of 07/08. I expect gervinho n theo to shine. Rvp score few ( hopefully )
but to be fair, this newcastle team is better then last years. Cabaye is an excellent player and Ba can trouble us upfront with his presense.
i would say a 2-0 win with a clean sheet

Good preview Sri,
I will do the Udinese one. Same as last year, rotate on previews.

It's only better once Enrique is replaced, Ben Arfa is fit and we finally buy a striker
I'd like it to end 2-0 aswell but in my team's favour ofcourse

Re: Newcastle away Pre-Match Thread
Don't know why, but I have a good feeling about Arshavin this season. It isn't a secret that I'm his harshest critic but I'm getting a good vibe from him; I sense a hunger in his belly and he's looking a bit betterphysically. Moreover, I'll expect him to start tomorrow as well. If we're going for the 4-2-3-1, I think he should be the man-in-the-hole- although Rosicky could do just as good a job there too.
I don't see us keeping a clean sheet unless Song stays the frak back! There absolutley no reason why Song should leave the midifield centre cirlce.

I don't mind Song trying those cute chips over the top of the defense, *AS LONG AS HE STAYS BACK*.

Very helpful preview srigooner.
Hopefully we go in with hunger and an "unfinished business" attitude for 3 points on the first game.
