The energy of Sess and McClean is definitely a key factor under O'Neill and Frazier has played quite well since he has came back. With the way we're playing currently I can only see Bendtner making the subs bench.

Entertaining match to watch but it was ruined to an extent by Newcastles anti football tactics and a poor referee.

Was obvious they went out to be rough and try get our players sent off.

If Cattermoles early tackle was worthy of a yellow Tiotes follow up certainly was, he should of been carded about 10 times.

That shin scraper by Cabaye on McClean was a disgrace as well.

Cant really complain about Sess's card, he did raise his hand but it wouldn't of happened if the ref had taken action against Tiote prior. :/ The way he stood there then fell over rolling about was embarrassing.

Pardew made a knob of him self way he went for MoN. Their staff made knobs of them selfs when they went for our staff in the tunnel. Typical lack of class but that's Newcastle for you.

We outplayed them in the first half, they barely got anywhere near our goal until the 40th minutes with that shot off the bar. If we had kept 11 players it would of been a far different result. But a points better than nothing.

Smile The Day finished on a brighter note when I found out my uncle has got me a ticket to Liverpool game next week.

Rolling Eyes Hopefully Suarez doesn't cheat us out of that game.

LOL Anti-football, when we had 29 shots on goal compared to your 8 and 63% possession......

LOL complaining about the referee when he was the reason you got anything from the game.

LOL complaining about being rough with the dirty scum tackles you were getting away with, you might want to look at your own players before attacking others.

I will admit you outplayed in the first half but what did you have to show for it other than the Penalty ( which if thats a penalty then we would see 100 penalties a week) and the reason for all this was Pardew's negative tactics.

The minute we decided to play the ball on the deck a bit more we dominated as the stats show from 45th minute to the 90th minute you didnt do f*ck all.

LOL @ a Sunderland fan talking about class, your legend Kevin Ball i seem to remember taking the piss out of Glenn Roeder's brain tumor......

And you want to talk about class? Laughing

Being called classless by Sunderland supporters is like having your porn collection berated by Gary Glitter.

Same ol' bitter Sunderland forever remaining in our shadow.

Rolling Eyes Of course you had more possession and shots, our most
attacking player was sent off, but even with the extra man for half the
game and this so called domination yourselves didn’t do fk all as you put it
either, 90% of your attempts on goal went into the stands. Or ended
with a newcastle player falling over, the
ESPN commentator put it perfectly, "newcastle need to stop falling over and start
playing football".

Sunderland AFC - Page 17 Clip_image001The reason we got a
penalty wasn’t because of the referee, it was because of newcastle players thinking they were taking
part in the WWE and not a EPL football match. Yes fair enough there is
plenty of shirt pulling goes on, but that wasn’t just a bit shirt pulling.
He nearly pulled the shirt off his Turners back wrestling him to the ground.

If the ref was being consistent he should of carded Tiote for his foul on
Cattermole minutes after Catts received one, instead of waiting 10 fouls later
towards the end of the game.

If Sess putting his hand round on Tiotes chest after Titote had been strangling
him was a red, then Krul should of been sent off for what he did to
McClean. If Sess's get off type shrug was a red then Gutierez elbow on Gardner was defo a booking.

If he had clamped down on Tiotes clumsy challenges early on then there wouldn’t
have been a problem. His play acting was also worthy of going in the
book.

Yes we fouled some players, but at least they were attempts to win the
ball. Newcastle
players were just wrestling us.

And not being a proper geordie you wouldn’t have a clue about class. Your
opinion on everything comes from reading a one sided newcastle forum on the internets,
Bringing the alleged Bally comment up from years ago smacks of desperation.
Do you even know what he apparently said ?. Or did you just read he said
something nasty on one of the many obsessive reasons to hate Sunderland lists newcastle fans so love to
come up with.

Go find some more pre written replies on Skunkers and come back tomorrow I will
let you have some more attention.

Not the most entertaining of games Very Happy but at least we got 3 points. We really missed Sess.

Good job Liverpool played crap and the ref never gave anything to Suarez for flopping about.

First time I have been to a game against Liverpool and I have to say I was disappointed with their fans. They were louder in the pub I went to with some prior to the game.

Good day out though Sad downside now is im being forced to go visit Anfield to see Liverpool play again.

Still unsure where I stand with Bendtner. When he first came he was doing ok, but had a period where he did nothing.

His build up play can be exceptional, some of the balls he puts through are amazing. He has a really good shot on him, but the problem seems to be he cant turn with the ball. He needs plenty of space.

Quite a decent gesture, the whole squad went to the Reebok to deliver it

Seems like Bendtner & Larsson know him quite well, all 3 being at arsenal at the same time then together at Brum on loan.

Be good to have Catts back for Everton game also.

Like the Muamba gesture and nice that Bolton won yesterday for him
Good win. Bendtner seems to be growing on me with his current performances, hope he keeps it up. Sends us back up to 8th and if we beat Everton this will be our best season since the millennium 7th place finishes. At the minute, with the way Liverpool are playing we could get 7th.
If we get to the Fa Cup Final and play against Spurs, we might take Newcastle's Europa League spot depending on if they finish 6th. I can imagine what Mole would be like if that happened Razz
Also, Since I am a Hartlepool fan, I have been very impressed with Ryan Noble's performances so far. Good that he is scoring for us and will be able to link up with Luscombe.

Didnt realise Luscombe was there also.

I hear Nobles goal was good. Not sure about him now, I always had high hopes for him but seems like he might be another Sean Thornton with a bad attitude. He originally turned down the loan move and others which is kind of idiotic considering hes not ready for our first team and badly needs playing time.

Bendtner is a marmite player. So frustrating to watch at times, loose the ball far to often. I just wish he would stay infront of goal more, people question his workrate but he does get all over the pitch. Problem is hes never infront of goal where we need him when it matters.

But if he continues to contribute goals I dont care how bad he is to watch lol

Looking forward to tuesdays game, much more confident now with Sess back. Not sure if I would play Catts though. That Drenth guy drops to the ground faster than Tiote.

Neville isnt much better and tries to ref the game him self, so I would probably stick with saturdays team.

I like the big greek aswell, always good to have some 1 of his physical presence in the team.

Very Happy Massive game tonight following the win on Sat.

Seems like that Drenthe wont be playing tonight so Catts could go straight back in. But we played well on sat not sure if its worth changing the team.

Evil or Very Mad bit of a flukey own goal tbh

Btter team won though we were shite. Couldnt keep posesion gave far to many passes away. Colback was a big miss.

Bentdner really needs to start staying infront of goal, hes never there when he should be.

Cant decide where I stand on todays result.

Wasnt expecting getting anything from the game to start with, but to come away with a point is better than nothing. Apparently we are the only team to take points off city at eastlands. But then again we lost a 2 goal lead so it is slightly disapointing.

Glad Seb got a couple of goals, his form had been quite dissapointing for a wile so its good to see him on the score sheet.

I wish Bentdner would stay in the box like he was for the header he scored.

Bendtner is a striker who likes to do the link up play, eventhough he is very good in the box. His movement is excellent

Have you guys decided if u want him or not ?

At times his movement is excellent, he has some skilla nd can do tricks to get balls in to set up other players. But he looses posession far too often and he is really slow at turning with the ball to get a shot or pass off.

Dont think we will tbh, you will probably want allot of money for him. He will probably want CL football.

I think Mon will be relatively happy with our defence and midfield. But will want to bring his own upfront players in. Gyan will be sold and I think Ji & maybe Wickham will go out on loan.

Frazer can play in midfield also so we will keep him. Then bring 1 or 2 new forwards in.

If Bendtner was one of those I would be pretty happy, plenty of different options.
