Shocked Tomorrow will be the first time Keano returns to the SOL since he left.

I think we will give him a pretty good reception, no doubt there's only one keano will be sang a few times.

Not sure how complimentary about us he will be though.

Delighted to see Frazier score on his first game back from injury. I can remember he had a really good pre season then got injured really early in the season. I thought we got lucky with some of the misses by Middlesbrough but the attack for the goal was excellent.
Hope to see more of Frazier in the next few matches including the league and mabye FA Cup games against Arsenal.

Very Happy Ye was great to see frazer score, been like 2 years since he has really played.

Still think we could do with another forward though before tues, pref not Davies think he would be a waste of money.

I think our biggest miss today was actually Cattermole. He has his critics but has been playing well since Oneil took over, formed a good partnership with Vaughan. Missed his physical presence and ability to get amongst it.

Good story about Frazeer

Fraizer Campbell put on a disguise to watch his Sunderland side with the fans during his 17-month injury lay-off.

The ex-Manchester United striker marked his return with an equaliser against Middlesbrough on Sunday and hopes his run of bad luck, which included two knee ligament operations, is now behind him.

Campbell, 24, pulled on a cap and a hoodie to go unnoticed at games.

He said: “I always feel like a fan and I went to loads of games while I was out. I just wanted to go and show my support.

“I went to stacks of away grounds. I remember going to Blackpool with all the away fans. I stood with them in a stand which was shaking all the time.

“It was brilliant. A great experience just to sit with the real fans of a massive football club.

“I tried to go disguised, but it didn’t last very long. I tried to cover myself up but it was a pretty warm night and I was sweating.

“So I was there in a T-shirt and I got noticed very quickly. I didn’t mind at all. The fans were amazing.”

Campbell’s attitude has impressed boss Martin O’Neill and helped him to return a couple of months earlier than expected.

He added: “I was buzzing when I found out I was on the bench.

source

Was quite allot of stories and posts on the SMB about him mixing with fans in the crowd and going out drinking with them at the time. The Blackpool game he went too stands out because it was around about the time Bent had done his Judas act. Frazier was in the pub after celebrating with fans singing along to "who the fk is darren bent"

At one of the pubs they all went to the eastern European door staff refused to let him in because he didn't have proof of age with him. People were bringing up his wiki page etc on mobile phones but the door staff were having none of it.

Makes a change from the normal money grabbing knobs footballers tend to be. Wouldn't see many premiership footballers travelling to away games with fans.

Good to have him back and hopefully his injury woes are behind him.

Suggestions in the papers we could be making a loan move for Wayne Bridge, wouldn't surprise me tbh with our injury problems. Brown could be out for a wile.

There could also be a shock return for Bolo Zenden.

Would be happy with that, but still think we could do with a extra forward. As long as it aint Heskey or Davies

During his time at Liverpool he was a solid, dependable option who is very good in the air. His lack of any pace whatsoever means he can be very exposed against pacy forwards, though.

To follow up on what I said earlier: Kyrgiakos is a good defender to have when a team is defending deep and being put under pressure by crosses and long balls into the box, but he's a real liability (disaster waiting to happen) for a side that tries to play anything close to a high line.

He's got good leadership skills and can command and organise the defense as well, but he's prone to rash challenges and silly mistakes from time to time.

Another good win, highlight was the stunning goal from Frazier. Hard to believe he has been out of the game for so long. Like a new signing.

Sess was as exceptional as ever, worked well with Mclean. Gardner was outstanding as well, hard to pick a man of the match.

After featuring in 3 games in a short period I would give Frazier a break and not risk him getting injured by the barbarians that are Stoke on Sat. Might be a good time to throw the big Greek in.

Very Happy Another good win. Wasn't really a entertaining game to watch, but then again Stoke never are.

Glad we didn't risk Campbell or wickham being savaged by them.

Match was a bit boring, but you guys played so well. Think if you hadnt played in midweek, you would have hold on to the lead.

Rolling Eyes So this is where this thread was moved to

Wasn't best of games. Think we were pretty tired, especially after playing the 90 midweek game.

Larsson has looked a bit tired for a wile. Mclean wasn't as involved as usual. Think he could do with a break, going from the Irish league, to playing odd reserve game, to starting EPL games in such a short period of time has been quite a step up.

Saturdays game should be better.

Sounds like we will have Cattermole back for this game aswell, he has been a big miss.

Really improved his game since MoN took over will be glad to have him back. :/ Hard decision is which player he will replace.

thanks

Wouldn't say it was one of our better performances since MoN took over, but we were allot better this week.

Sess was awesome again, I think your defenders were terrified of him.

Dunno why we are starting games with no forwards again though. Be intresting to see who MoN picks in our upcoming league games now he has Frazier, Wickham, Ji & Bentner available.
