Yes we did it. Was a little scared when Rogers scored the early goal and also got the the better of Gonzalez.

I was a wreck the first part of the game, Luke Rogers really was a pest most of the game. Thankfully we got rid of the NY though. I know RSL won't be easy but I expect a similar result when we won 2-1

Espindola, Morales, Alvarez, Saborio, Gonzalez, Araujo.

Yeah, just the names spew what this club has. Lot's of Technique with plenty of Punch upfront. We're gonna have to go with a Defensive minded squad to minimize the damage and hope to catch them on the break with utilizing Donny's Speed.

Will defo be tough.

They have Beckerman to who is good, and can sneak onto the score sheet when you don't expect it like he did against San Jose earlier this year. I agree, need to shut them down and take them out of their rhythm. Their defense has conceded about ten more goals then ours. I hope getting Juninho back will help calm our defense plus he can also score goals to. Im looking forward to it should be a good game, thankfully we are at home though and RSL away record is pretty average but they will come ready to play

Yeah. Their away record doesn't ring much so we should O.K. at home. Hopefully we deliver maximum damage at home to avoid playing Extra Time or Penalties.

After that first half I figured it could go either way because they had several chances and Beckerman's shot almost went in. Keane finally got a well deserved goal and we were able to finally get some revenge. Donovan got the PK against Romando which was great to see. And isn't Brad Davis going to miss the Cup? I heard he said he was going to miss it but I didn't know if it was official

Hopefully Davis is O.K, as I wouldn't like for Houston to be at 90 or 95. I want Galaxy to beat them at 100%

It seems RSL lost their legs at the end of the second half. They expelled everything they had in the first half. Also add the away factor and the cold weather we really had this one in the bag towards the end.

Also like to note that I thought it would be 2 legs.

Yeah it would be better if we do beat them with Davis in there. But from what I'm reading he is a major doubt for the cup clash.

Yeah from what the announcers said it was rainy and kinda chilly in LA which is kind of what I'm used to this time a year here in IL, kinda surprising it being similar in LA.

Oh and I saw where Donovan withdrew from the USA roster for their friendlies to focus on the MLS cup game.

Unfortunately while I would love to see Omar stay with us I would be surprised if he stays. He has big club potential. Arena got Coach of the year as well!

Did you see the reports where we were going to replace Beckham with Lampard? Don't see that being more than a crazy report

Yeah Lampard isn't leaving Chelsea. I couldn't believe how many reports there were that popped up on it. I think there will be more reports of us getting another big name player especially if Becks does go to PSG or up until he resigns with us whichever happens. I remember when there was supposedly contact for the Galaxy to purchase both Nesta and Dinho from Milan

Anyway if it were up to me I'd sell Beckham and actually use the money to buy the best talents from the other American leagues.

Thats true, I mean I do like Becks and he is one of my favorite players but the money we are giving him could be going to someone a lot younger. Oh and also resign Franklin if we wanted to as well.
