Ricardo Montolivo
Judging by reports from the Italian media, he is just a footstep away from Milan. We gave a formal offer to Fiorentina (6 million+half of Alberto Paloschi's rights) which Fiorerntina will most likely accept, they are already working to bring Aquillani as Montolivo's replacement. So what do you think of this signing? I think Uncle Fester has done it again. Montolivo is a great player and his signing as bolstered our midfield a lot. And once again just like Mexes, Taiwo, Van Bommel, Cassano, Ibracadabra; Galliani is getting him for cheap. 6 million + 50% of Paloschi (total value 10 million) is a bargain for a player of Montolivo's caliber. Well done Galliani, you have once again proven why you are the best wheeler dealer around.

Re: Ricardo Montolivo
I would've liked to keep Paloschi
But if it means getting Montolivo for such a small price
Then it needs to be done.

Re: Ricardo Montolivo
We need to keep Paloschi and give Cassano to Fiorentina.

Re: Ricardo Montolivo
Cassano gets too much hate. Everybody forgets he is our best sub-player and a trump card.
I dont like Montolivo from observing his Fio and NT plays. Extremely overrated.

Cassano is a freaken Gem, Cassano at 250 pounds would still string through defenses.

Re: Ricardo Montolivo
Today, we are linked with Montolivo again. Surely he seems close to join us, but does Fiorentina really have a back-up for this guy?

AA, Aquaman, ALBERTO AQUILANI
Re: Ricardo Montolivo
Who cares if Fiorentina have a back up? They are in no position to not sell Montolivo that's what is so sweet about this whole thing. They are being forced to sell him because they don't want him to leave on a free transfer with his contract coming to an end. So basically they will be clutching at straws soon and I'm sure they are eyeing some players but they won't pick anyone up who can do what Montolivo would do for them.

Re: Ricardo Montolivo
Fiorentina have Lazzari who can fill the void for Montolivo for the creator in the mid. Montolivo would be perfect for us in my opinion.

Lazzari is an excellent suggestion.

Re: Ricardo Montolivo
I'm actually very happy Fiorentina for such a low price
I dislike them the most out of all the Serie A teams and I have hated them the day since they put us in 5th place.
I hope all their players leave and they fall deep into the abyss mediocre Italina teams
Just my opinion

Re: Ricardo Montolivo
Lazzari would be a good replacement for Montolivo, great suggestion MTD. Also Andrea Cossu is seriously underrated, why doesn't anyone want him?

Re: Ricardo Montolivo
If there was anyone from Cagliari worth signing, Allegri would have asked for him already. We would have signed Marchetti as backup GK if not for Amelia.

Andrea Cossu
Personal information
May 3, 1980 (age 31)
He is getting old for a mezz'ala. Allegri apparently asked Galliani to buy him in the summer and in January of 2010 and 11 respectively but was refused.
