Ricardo Rodriguez
Where do you rate him amongst the fullbacks in the world at the moment? Not based on career accomplishments or history, but based on his year's form.
According to 'whoscored' he has been far and away the best defender in the world over this campaign for Wolfsburg. I've watched him on 3 occasions and he has pace, can run with the ball, makes nice passes, works hard defensively and is relied upon heavily by that team. He is still just 21.
Should he be slated to move to a big team after such a strong year?

Re: Ricardo Rodriguez
I wouldn't take Whoscored ratings so seriously.
According to them Debuchy is the best RB in the world.

Re: Ricardo Rodriguez
That's why I was looking for a more broad opinion. I thought he looked great when watching him...I don't think that whoscored is the best resource standalone, but it's a good supplementary statistic (like most).

Re: Ricardo Rodriguez
BL's best fullback after lahm and alaba this season, usually i'd also take piszcek over him but he was out most of the season.
his goal scoring exploits shouldn't be overrated though, he is their penalty taker. and apart from that he played like total crap the previous two seasons which made everyone wonder how he could ever cost 7 mill.

Re: Ricardo Rodriguez
His team got killed 6-1. I would never praise a defender after his team conceded that many.

Re: Ricardo Rodriguez
Actually I thought that Wolfsburg were really good for the first 60 minutes. They just couldn't keep it up for the full 90.
