David Luiz as a destoryer

With the recent injury to Essien I wouldn't mind Luiz having a run in his position in dm/destroyer, similar to what pepe has done in some of the RM matches last year. He is strong in the air, has quick feet and can lay a decent pass.

I know we have Mikel but honestly I still don't feel safe with him.

Thought?

mikel and ramires can play dm,luiz should def stick with CB.

Ramires can't play dm, mikel is a shakey option, not always reliable.

ramires would be better than luiz, luiz way have the the techincal abilitity but he will struggle to pass under pressure and witht the tactical side of midfield play

ramires is a dm/cm,of course he can play as a dm.he does that for the

I am quite comfortable with Mikel as our holding midfielder, even if Essien was healthy, mikel would still be a better option because ultimately he is more disciplined.

Luiz is a good athlete, but i don't him as DM.

btw Pepe is a horrible DM, pretty sure Luiz would be less effective then him anyway.

He would be wasted as a DM. Mikel is much steadier at that position and Romeu is on the way as well..

Mikel was class at the start of lasst season, if he finds that form again I'm happy for him to be our DM. Romeu can back him up too.

He wouldn't be able to get forward as much as he does if he played as DM. He's fine where he is.

This David Luiz = bad defender nonsense has been ridiculously overplayed IMO. It's as if his World Class performances before the Stoke away game were a myth.

Mikel is still our best DM, even better than Essien IMO.

Nah most people got that idea cos CA left him out in the latter stages of the PL . But tbh Alex is better than him cos of his experience and composure.

Luiz should stick as the ball playing CB, gives us so much more options having him at DM is really wasted IMO.

If we don't play with a anchor DM in our 433 we can have 2 box 2 box (Josh + Ram) and then a further advanced CAM.

Just be hanging around London around February/March when our next manager is invariably guillotined. You could step in as Interim and pull a Robbie Proud
