Brazil's U20 national team beat Madureira 2-0 in a preparation game for the Pan American Games. Felipe Amorim (Goiás) and Leandro (Grêmio) were the goal scorers.

And the senior team repeated this formation tonight (adding Júlio César):

Júlio César; Fábio, David Luiz, Thiago Silva, Adriano; Ralf, Luiz Gustavo, Ronaldinho Gaúcho; Lucas, Neymar, Fred

Looks to be the squad for the Mexico game in Torreon.. Julio Cesar has been withdrawn from the team due to an injury.

They are not paying any Brazilian club for using their players for 15 or more games. For the next year they are planning do not stop the Brazilian League during the Olimpic Games, that is ridiculous, but not surprising, since they are worse every year, mainly now that the Brazilian clubs fought between them ending the "Clube dos 13"

Now some Brazilians Clubs, mainly São Paulo and Santos will pay for their players, but won't count on them, for about 10 games in the next Brazilian league. Almost the same that is happening this year with Neymar and Lucas Moura, since they are not stopping Brazilian League during a lot of National team games. In this year they didn't give any break for São Paulo, like they did for Santos.

WTF is running through the head of Teixeira...

Apparently Ávine is almost certain to move from Bahia to Cruzeiro next year, and is already negotiating wages with them.

Emerson (Corinthians) is being investigated for money laundering and along with Diguinho and Kléberson he is being investigated for having illegally imported their cars.

São Paulo are also very interested in signing Breno in January, that could be great for the player (who will finally leave his troubles in Germany), for São Paulo and for the Brazilian national (both of which would get a talented defender).

Results today in Série A:

América-MG 0-0 Atlético Mineiro
Botafogo 2-2 Bahia
Coritiba 2-0 Grêmio

Both Belo Horizonte teams above pretty much relegated each other with that result. Botafogo could not beat a 10-men Bahia while Grêmio lost but had the debut of 16-year old striker Yuri Mamute.

Despite saying he wants to play for Brazil, Thiago Alcântara's brother Rafinha has been called up for Spain's U19 national team.

This is good as should help prevent him from ever playing for Brazil although in theory he would still allowed to do so unless he plays an official senior game for Spain.

But it will be a lot better if he does end up playing for the senior Spanish national team, like his older brother does.

Both are products of Barcelona's youth setup, so should have no place in the Brazilian national team, regardless of how good they might be.

ze truth.

Many changes in Copa do Brasil for the 2013 season according to the article:

1) It will be played from March to November
2) It will include the teams playing in Copa Libertadores, they will enter the tournament in the 3rd round
3) It will be played by more than 64 teams
4) The prize money will be higher than in Copa Sudamericana

about time.

Damn so it looks like Rafinha is slipping away, we better call-up Kleber before Portugal comes calling.

we did call-up Kleber... but he got injured in the CL and couldnt come.

i can care less about Rafinha though.. he's in a position where he wouldn't be considered the best if he played in Brazil, especially as a youth player.

this calendar has really *bleep* us up ... santos were on such a great run , now we've completely messed up any chances of winning the brasileirão. and neymar isnt even there yet.

when the state championships cease to exist or at least get shortened (perhaps made into the good old cup style, with groups and stuff, so we dont have to play a thousand matches), then i'll be truly happy. santos might've been able to focus a little more on the start of the brasileirão if we weren't so overloaded with different things to play for. it'd be nice if the brasileirao started after the libertadores.

i'm also glad to know that neymar and ganso might really be staying for next year's liberta... and if muricy also stays, i'm all for a 4th title, truly repeating what pelé's team did back in the 62-63!!!!!

It seems Corinthians are going to offer 20 million Euros for Tevez in January. That's a much fairer price for him than the previous 40 million Euros offer.

well, i know that no player is worth that much money blablabla, but considering prices people pay for players of this quality, tevez is actually worth 40m or more..

i wonder if city will let him go for half of it? i know they just want him to leave, and i dont think he will ever accept going to anzhi (which would just mean getting into more and more trouble in his case), but 20m is such a bargain.

He has history with Corinthians..plus he's AWOL.

So Brazil scrape by Mexico with 10 men to win 2-1... Idk where to begin.. Dani Alves red card.. was that really a red card?? was that even a foul??

Dinho is a set piece god.. and Marcelo finally shows up.

I forgive you David Luiz, just this once... we were the better team despite the scoreline.

oh and Jefferson should be our starting Goleiro.
