Sandro from Tottenham is out of the next games against Costa Rica and Mexico due to some injury. Ralf from Corinthians has been called up to replace him.

Cortês, who shined in Brazil's win against Argentina a few days ago, is joining Botafogo for good (was only on loan from Nova Iguaçu). His salary is apparently increasing from R$ 4,000 per month to R$ 150,000 per month.

And the release fee is increasing in a similar proportion.

Napoli and Lyon that want him will probably need to look elsewhere.

Glad it took Botafogo this long to realize they have a NT caliber Leftback on their hands,

Damiao and Pato injured....

"O segundo treinamento do Brasil em San José será às 22h (de Brasília), no Estádio Nacional da Costa Rica, local do duelo entre as seleções na sexta-feira e que será transmitido ao vivo a partir das 23h (de Brasília) pelo GLOBOESPORTE.COM, TV Globo e SporTV."

yesterday's training was just some light stuff, the lineup will be out in tonight's training

I expect

Jefferson
Dani-David Luiz-Thiagod Silva-Marcelo
---------Hernanes------Lucas------------
Lucas-------------R10---------Neymar---
--------------------Fred---------------------

I like Hulk but Lucas is too awesome to be a bench warmer :coffee:

Sócrates has spoken. He wants Pep Guardiola & Zico to guide the National team as manager and president.

dude hes just joking,i cant believe that even goal.com reported it...I believe that what he is trying to say is that we need to stick with a offensive mentality unlike the past games with 3 volantes like against Germany .Hes using Pep as an example because he was using dms as cbs recently and for other obvious reasons

Mano said he was gonna rest Neymar for the Costa Rica game.

He was gonna play a weaker team in San Jose and play a stronger team in Mexico.

Brazil's line-up in a training match tonight:

no goalkeeper; Fábio, David Luiz, Thiago Silva, Adriano; Ralf, Luiz Gustavo, Ronaldinho Gaúcho; Lucas, Neymar, Fred

Ralf was eventually subbed off, making room for Hernanes.

lol.. I hate that stretch.

oh and It seems the negotiations between the Pernambuco FA and Real Madrid to bring them to Pernambuco are advancing well. If the negotiations succeed, Real Madrid will play 3 pre-season games in Brazil, one of them against the Pernambuco champions and two other games against big Brazilian clubs.

Apparently starting in 2013 clubs will be able to play both Libertadores and Copa do Brasil in the same year, not much info available yet on how exactly this is going to work

Brazil's U20 national team beat Madureira 2-0 in a preparation game for the Pan American Games. Felipe Amorim (Goiás) and Leandro (Grêmio) were the goal scorers.

And the senior team repeated this formation tonight (adding Júlio César):

Júlio César; Fábio, David Luiz, Thiago Silva, Adriano; Ralf, Luiz Gustavo, Ronaldinho Gaúcho; Lucas, Neymar, Fred
