Re: Premier League 2024/25
Really liking Slot's implementation at Liverpool in the preseason. His build up play is very similar to De Zerbi's.
Big difference baiting a press then going long by having Salah hold up the ball then play a 3rd man pass with Szoboszlai than whoever De Zerbi had doing it at Brighton.

I’ve been impressed by him, as well. Doesn’t look like a new manager who just came into a new team. The players seem to suit his playing style and vice versa. That’s how it ideally should be.

The hearing into Manchester city’s 115 charges begins in September with a result due in early 2025
I used to pray for times like this, will be a major talking point throughout the season directed at Pep, love to see it, Haaaland tearing up Division 3 in the near future

I thought it was supposed to happen this summer, before the league season started. It seems like it just keeps getting pushed further into the future. Some of the allegations date all the way back to 2009, which is an absurdly long time ago now

Meh. They were lucky af against us in their 3-0 win. Almost all goals came as a result of incompetence and mistakes of some our dross especially Casemiro and we on the other hand were killing them in the first half with many chances which as usual our attackers failed to convert. Saw nothing special at least in that match.

When Szobkdsjzdslai first arrived at Liverpool, he really had that world class player aura about him, I loved watching him. Bit that seemed to disappear, wonder what happened.

This is from Goal.com, which is not a credible source at all. None of the news sites that I’ve found seem to actually know much in regards to how long it will take before this case reaches it’s conclusion, but most of them seem to agree that it will likely not be in the near future.
I’ve been following this case a little bit, and I believe I read last year that the hearing was planned to start this summer. That claim may have been misinformed or plain manufactured, but it did make sense that they would attempt to resolve things before the league season started. It was then claimed that it would start in late fall/autumn, and now it’s set for september according to the PL’s chief executive.
If a demotion is in store for them, moving them down the divisions after the season has started may lead to some complications, primarily related to point distribution and the amount of teams allowed in each division.
Announcing a demotion for the following season would likely cause a lot of long-term damage to the club, as many players would be tempted to save their own asses or go into early retirement rather than help the club work it’s way back up again for even a single season. Fans of opposing teams might not have an issue with that fate, but it’s not very realistic at all.
As it stands, it seems to me that this process will continue for a few years. I don’t know for certain when it will end, but neither does anyone else, and judging purely based on the details released to the public, it seems impossible for 2025 to be the year when it does.

Re: Premier League 2024/25
Demotion simply wont happen for obvious reasons. At best, there will be a hefty fine, a 2 season or so transfer ban and something like 40-50 point deduction in the ongoing season. City will still finish top half.

Re: Premier League 2024/25
Mazraoui only been here a couple days already starting at LB lol, lets see how he does. Won't hold a bad performance against him. Too bad De Ligt isn't starting, this twerp Maguire ffs.
Expecting a BIG season from Amad. Think we struggle tonight.

Was Ruud requested by ETH to join his coaching staff or is he a safety measure if ETH keeps this bland football going on?
